Four Seasons Hotel Monaghan in Monaghan

Beautiful hotel, attended a wedding here. The bedroom had lovely decor, a queen sized bed and was spotless. The wedding seemed to run very smoothly, small gaps between courses to allow digestion and no tables appeared to have to wait long time. There were only 2 bar staff so the service there could be slow enough at times, especially as the promoted the cocktail list which obviously takes longer to prepare. Few niggles were when serving the toast wine, our table was only offered white and when the bottle ran out they didn't come back to us so some of us didn't actually have a drink for the toasts. Also, the same nearly happened with the tea! The girl moved to another table before checking she had offered everyone at our table. Just staff being either inexperienced or not fully engaged which isn't really good enough when you consider how much is paid by the bride and groom. The food was good and well portioned. The separate reception area for the welcome reception is a major plus for anyone who is looking a wedding venue

Lovely hotel, very friendly service, rooms clean and good location

Our favourite place to eat pre COVID . We got take aways and ate outside from a limited menu during lock down. Had a late lunch here today, Tuesday as it was fairly quiet and I had vunerable people with me. It was great to be back and the menu is back to normal. We had chilli with rice , a marinaded chicken sandwich and a perfectly sized small portion of cod and haddock in wine sauce all from the specials menu. All top quality and very tasty. Great variety of choice . Best place to break for a decent meal on the Dublin/Letterkenny route. They have an EV charge point too. Couldn't recommend it enough. Lovely atmosphere and always decorated for the season. Pumkins everywhere today.

Lovely hotel but the staff absolutely made it. Warm, welcoming and good fun. Highly recommend

Had a great stay at this hotel. Room was very comfortable and warm, bathroom was clean with a very good shower enclosure, health suite was excellent with good temperatures in the sauna, jacuzzi, steam room and pool, only issue there was they had no locks for the lockers and when I returned my locker was wide open, after I had definitely closed... food also was excellent, starter, main, dessert and breakfast the following morning all top class. Staff all very polite and friendly.

Great location near just a short drive from Monaghan town centre or 2km walk along Ulster Canal Greenway.
