Generator, menu in Dublin

This hostel is a good location in Dublin. It is very centralized in downtown Dublin making everything very close by and walkable. The hostel is more of a party hostel with constant activities going on here. This is an interesting aspect, as we could hear music going throughout the night and shaking out room. The rooms are also not very "soundproof" and we were able to hear the room next to us along with the hallway very easily. We also frequently heard what I imagine to be drunken individuals screaming in the hallways from 2 - 4 AM. This resulted in poor sleep multiple nights. The room itself is quite nice, with cute murals on the walls. The bathroom is small, but very adequate for what is needed. The only note I would say is that the shower drain needs to be cleaned as it would take a long time to drain and it was obvious there was hair blockage. One final note is that if you want towels included you do have to pay extra for them to be included.

It's okay. I came in with the mindset that it would be a quick stop for backpacker's and quite young people. And that's pretty much what it was. If I would have been in my twenties I would probably have enjoyed it more. The rooms were nothing special but not bad either. The bathroom in our room did have a bunch of weird stains tho. The service from the people in the reception really depended on who you were talking to. Some were helpful, some clearly wanted you to take your questions elsewhere. I can also mention that in the men's restroom at the bar/lobby every stall except one had broken locks and the floor was wet with what I hope, but doubt was water.

Satisfactory for the price, the rooms are clean, and the bathrooms even more so. For my first time in a shared room/bathroom, I enjoyed it despite my initial apprehension. It might be a good idea to add curtains to the beds for a bit more privacy in these rooms and chairs in each shower, as it's impossible to put your things down otherwise. The staff is young, friendly, and available all night. The bar prices are reasonable, and the place is pleasant. The hotel is located in a strategic part of the city, and practically everything is accessible within a 30-minute walk. Another downside is that the corridors are very noisy, so bring earplugs; I slept like a baby. The breakfast isn't great; it's practically just fruit…

I have a lot to say about this hotel. The only good things are the food and the staff; they were really dedicated to burgers and fries every night. The location provides very quick access to the city center. BUT I'm sorry to say this, but there's a REAL problem in the room. There's a hygiene issue: When you enter, there's dried toothpaste on the door. We were three on a school trip, and there was dust everywhere on the floor, a disgusting white substance on the sink. There's also no privacy; no shutters. (Note: The last sentence appears to be from a different review and has been omitted.) Material problems: Absolutely no insulation; we could hear everything that was going on in the hallways. Honestly, it's crazy. The window door was broken, air was coming in. The railing on the top bunk was shaking (I was a little scared at first). The tap was leaking everywhere, including the shower. The "We like it clean" sign is currently completely wrong. At least we had a TV and a balcony that wasn't really a balcony (just a metal platform). The locker wasn't very efficient. There were no towels, no power outlets for our cameras, and the light switches barely worked. Also, there was a problem with the other hotel guests: they were noisy and running in the hallways at 3 AM. Downstairs, there was a lot of noise, and people were always about 50% drunk. And also, our... The room was one of the BEST among the other rooms. These are the real problems that bothered me a lot during my stay. I was frankly disappointed. Honestly, don't rent a room...

Birthday Experience at Generator Dublin! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I celebrated my birthday at 'The Gen Den' (Mezzanine) on April 4th and it was the best decision! The experience exceeded all expectations. The service was the highlight. Camilla and Vinicius were incredibly attentive and flexible during the planning weeks, ensuring every detail was spot on. On the day, execution was impeccable. All staffs were attentive and the Chef’s Premium Menu was just greart and served exactly on schedule. The space is fantastic: it offers the privacy a private event needs without losing the vibrant, urban vibe and fun games that Generator offers. If you’re looking for a cool spot in Dublin with a team that truly cares about their guests, this is the place. Huge thanks to Camilla, Vinicius, and the entire team for making my day unforgettable. I recommend them without hesitation!

The room was very basic, it's a hostel after all. The worst part was the cold showers 🥶 The staff were very friendly. The bar was great, with a really good atmosphere and games everywhere. We had a fantastic evening with friends. Well located, 10 minutes max from the city center by bus, 20 minutes from Temple Bar on foot.

It was great aside from snoring bunkmates.

Nice staff, they were very forthcoming. For the low price the beds in the dorms were quite good. But every extra, like food or towels you have to pay quite high prices. The experience was still nice.
