GiGi in Dublin

We had a fantastic meal at Gigi in Ranelagh. The food was absolutely delicious – we started with the burrata, followed by the prawn pasta and the penne arrabbiata, with fries and broccolini on the side. Everything was fresh, full of flavour, and cooked perfectly. The staff were brilliant too – super friendly, and they created such a welcoming atmosphere. The whole place has a really authentic feel and a great vibe. I’d definitely recommend Gigi to anyone looking for excellent Italian food in Dublin, and we’ll absolutely be back!

Came here last weekend with my boyfriend and as soon as we came in we were greeted & treated very well, the Italian waiter was really helpful & all the workers there took care of us! Wine was really good & atmosphere in the place is really nice for drink

Lovely atmosphere. Small place but decorated in a way that looks way more bigger. Staff were lovely, very well run place. Even though there were two waiters you didn’t feel it at all. Quick and efficient. Food was nice too. We had carbonara arancini which were very tasty. Great filling and well balanced sauce. Great idea that they put a bit more sauce on a side plate rather than pouring it over. However, prawn pasta was delicious but I didn’t feel the “homemade” quality. It was a bit over cooked, not al dente. Great quantity of prawns though and sauce was tasty too. Hugo aperol a must try.

Thankfully just a short flight on the Lyas to Romelagh. This venue could teach other places what true welcome and hospitality means. The staff are excellent with a real vocation and passion for all that is best in intensive care, efficency, and stunning attention to detail. The service, food, and wine were all to die for. Genuinely, it is far too long since we tasted such authentic Italian fare; it was magnificent, sumptuous, and so well-cooked and presented with real aplomb and such enthusiasm ! An honour to have visited for the first time, but obviously not the last . So charming and a great ambassador for Italy, and a wonderful experience for Dublin . 5 stars doesn't even come close as a rating for this unique establishment!

We had such a lovely evening at Gigi. The moment you step inside, you’re wrapped in that true Italian vibe 💛 energetic, warm, authentic, yet still cosy enough to settle in and enjoy your night. The servers bring so much personality to the place: welcoming, attentive, and genuinely making sure you’re happy and enjoying your evening. That level of care is rare, and it really stood out. The food was incredible. We ordered burrata and the tender beef 🤌🏼 both dishes were so beautifully done, the beef practically melting in our mouths. The flavours were fresh, rich, and exactly what you want from proper Italian cooking. And the cocktails 🍸 they really know what they’re doing. Everything tasted exactly the way it should, balanced, thoughtful, and made with confidence. They also have a great selection of Italian wines, and the team goes above and beyond to help you choose something that fits your taste. It was the perfect dinner for my friend and me , something a little special, exactly what we needed. Gigi is one of those places that deserves to be talked about.

We had such an amazing experience at this restaurant! Absolutely everything was perfect from start to finish. The food was truly spectacular, every single dish was full of flavour and made with so much care. You can really feel the passion from both the kitchen and the entire team. The service was beyond incredible! The owner and all the staff treated us with so much kindness and warmth, making us feel genuinely welcomed and special throughout the whole evening. As an Italian, I can honestly say this place made me feel at home. The atmosphere, the hospitality, the way they care about people, everything reminded me of the beautiful celebrations we have in Italy. We came here to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and my best friend’s birthday, who were born on the same day, and they made the night unforgettable. They surprised us with dessert, music, and such a beautiful celebration that felt so personal and heartfelt. They truly went above and beyond for us. I cannot recommend this place enough. It is absolutely worth it and I would come back again and again. Thank you for making such a special night even more magical ❤️
