Lovely location regarding view of the lake, which the hot tubs and pool overlooked. However, hot tubs were not hot enough for us and despite being told staff would be there and to give a shout if needed, once we were checked in we were left to ourselves and had to end up not using our whole hour slot as we got too cold. Granted our visit was in November, but we thought the tub would be kept warmer for the duration of its use and not treated like a bath. Despite the hotel not being very busy we could hear everything happening in the corridors throughout the whole stay including during the night which woke us up. Breakfast was okay in Bonnie’s, we were a bit shocked to hear ‘barista’ coffee was at an extra charge when it’s included in similar places we’ve stayed to Glasson.. glad we went to dine in Athlone town for dinner. Overall it was a nice stay but wouldn’t rush to get back.

Relaxing hotel to visit with a golf course on the river Shannon. I didn't stay overnight but had a very tasty meal in the restaurant, portions could have been better and the prices are 4 star hotel rate. They have an outdoor heated pool.
Absolutely fabulous resort. Great service, comfortable rooms. Very relaxing stay.

Views are breath-taking from the restaurant and function room. Outdoor pool and excellent golf course meant we were happy to stay on site; would recommend for a romantic break!

We had our wedding in Glasson Lakehouse at the end of May and it was the BEST two days we could have ever asked for! The staff, food, and ambience were 10/10, and all our guests commented on what a great venue it was. A huge shoutout to Aileen and Colin for being so professional and making sure everything was seamless on the day.
I couldn't recommend Glasson enough, we can't wait to stay here again and relive some of the amazing memories.

Always a great stay here - very dog friendly. Quality of the food has got better and better with each visit - looking forward to next time!
Our experience at Glasson Lake House was absolutely fantastic. Without a doubt, it ranks as one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in Ireland! 🇮🇪
First and foremost, it's a dog-friendly establishment, which was a huge plus for us. We appreciated being able to bring our furry companion along and stay together. It's worth noting that not all rooms are dog-friendly, so be sure to book accordingly. There's an additional charge of €20 per night for a dog-friendly room.
The variety of activities available at Glasson Lake House is impressive. From the heated outdoor pool and hot tub to kayaking, cycling, and golf, it truly feels like a resort experience. The restaurant and bar offerings are decent, although I did notice that the menus between the two are quite similar. It would be nice to see some variety for a change. Additionally, it's worth noting that the bar stops serving food at 8pm, while the restaurant closes at 9pm.
All of the staff members were incredibly friendly and accommodating, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We're already looking forward to returning!
One minor downside to mention is the weak Wi-Fi signal, which made it a bit challenging to work at times.
Overall, I highly recommend Glasson Lake House for a memorable and enjoyable stay 🩷
