Absolutely superb place and wonderful staff

A unique experience. Absolutely idyllic. Rustic and vintage chique. Incredible food. Dinner was outstanding ( pork belly). Outdoor heated pool like heaven. Walkway down to the lake so pretty. Staff were so genuine and pleasant. Every inch of the decor was a feast for the eyes. Highly recommend .

Cannot recommend this hotel enough. Everything was exceptional from start to finish. The food was delicious and Clodagh was so helpful throughout our whole dining experience ensuring our whole group had a great evening.

We stayed in Glasson Lakehouse on the night of the storm and we were very safe, next morning as there was only a generator and not all staff could get to work, the staff who were there really looked after us with plenty of tea, coffee, toast, yogurt, fruit and many nibbles.The manager ( can't remember his name ) arranged fir the road to be cleared to the left of the entrance so we could leave and another man drove in front through many winding roads to get us on the right road to get back towards Galway the road, a great bunch of people and the hotel is fantastic too

Would have been 5 stars all the way, but the young lady manager of the restaurant was extremely rude in dealing with me, and made me feel inept for not knowing the rules.

Good place, not a great place. Id try another spa/hotel around the lake before booking here again. The location is stunning, the hotel is stylish, the food is good, the spa is good, check-in was great but the hotel staff otherwise undermined the experience for us, we wouldn't go back. We booked a package on their website and each meal that was supposed to be included in the package was contested by staff, requiring evidence and argument. And although these mistakes were accepted, the staff never apologised for the inconvenience. We paid on arrival and on checkout were were asked to pay again. You'd want to have your wits about you because it felt like you'd be taken advantage of. Food service was really slow and inattentive. It was difficult to order new drinks. Food was good and allergens were clearly labelled and alternatives available.

What a stunning hotel- very homely and quirky with the colour and paintings etc in rooms. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was best I’ve ever had from a hotel. Only downside was restaurant at night was quite limited and pricey. A very relaxing hotel break away which we would highly recommend

Stayed here at the weekend for one night. The hotel is beautiful and in a gorgeous setting. The pool area is really nice and it's heated which is great. It did get a bit busy with kids while we were there but it was a hot day so that's to be expected. The grounds are really gorgeous and peaceful. Food was good, nice chicken wings and fresh fish for lunch and dinner. Breakfast was also quite good. Drinks are expensive and really not much of a cocktail selection or choice of good value wines. The service is where they fall down greatly. The staff are really friendly and helpful but unfortunately they seem under trained and under staffed which lead to long waits for food and drink and many mistakes on our bills. I definitely would return but I'd hope to see more staff and better management of the food and drinks service. Also charging 40 euro for an hour in the hot tub seems criminal to me especially with the prices they charge for the rooms!
