A big group of us stayed here this weekend to celebrate a milestone birthday. It’s a nice hotel but definitely not worth the cost in my opinion. The menu online says the kids menu is 10 euro but in the hotel it’s 17.50! Which is crazy for a children’s menu. The food is quite nice but we were all still hungry afterwards. The hot tubs were out of order, which didn’t bother us because we didn’t book them because you have to pay an additional 50 euro when you’re already paying so much for the room is mad to me. The pool was nice but not very warm so we couldn’t stay in it for too long. It was my mother’s 70th and all they did in her room was a couple of balloons and happy birthday sign on the bed, no wine no chocolates which for the amount we paid convectively to stay there I thought was minimal. They had live music but it didn’t start until 22 so most of my family with kids and older family members missed out. The staff are attentive and very lovely, the rooms are pleasant and the hotel is very cosy in general. If it was half the price I would recommend! But in my opinion it’s very overpriced for what they offer, and I wouldn’t recommend if you’re celebrating something special.

We had a wonderful stay. The hotel surprised us with lovely decorations in the room for my partner’s 30th birthday, which was such a thoughtful touch. The food was exceptional, and both the room and the whole hotel were incredibly dog-friendly. The staff were so kind and attentive, always asking if we needed anything and even offering our dog treats and water. The grounds are beautiful, with fantastic walks right on the doorstep. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you.

Lovely atmosphere at Christmas.

If I could give more than five stars I would. Everything about our stay at Glasson Lakehouse was exquisite. The staff were all very friendly, warm and professional. Mark the manager went above and beyond to make our stay very special, checking in throughout the course of our stay to ensure everything was to our liking. A highlight was definitely receiving a prenatal massage at the Brooks spa. Claire the masseuse was attentive and gentle, and Hilary the spa manager made us feel very comfortable, well looked after and relaxed. The sorbet offered in the relaxation room after the massage was a lovely touch! The landscape from the bedrooms is stunning and the rooms themselves are cozy and decorated with many personal touches (including a vinyl player) that make the room and the hotel unique. I can’t recommend Glasson Lakehouse more highly and look forward to my next visit.
