Good World Hong Kong Cafe in Dublin

OK, so I have been reading some of the reviews here, and I do not understand why there are so many negative reviews. I have eaten and ordered from basically all the Chinese restaurants in Dublin, and let me tell you this: This is the best spot in Dublin. Sure, the restaurant itself might look like someone’s living room, but it is clean, and the food here is class, and super comparable to what you can get in Southern China. The prices here are also super reasonable, and the portions are very generous as well. I have eaten in the restaurant and ordered probably 100+ times, and every single time, I had a great experience. I highly recommend the duck combo rice (without bones) or char siu pork combo rice, but honestly, everything on the menu is good. When you do eat in, the staff is always super nice, sometimes too nice. They come super often with water, and last weekend when I visited the chef prepared some chili duck necks and wings as a side for free, which was also amazing.

Classic China town style, based on Cantonese cooking from Hong Kong in the 70s/80s, some of the dishes like steamed rice served as dim sum is hard to find back in HK. The roasted duck is very good.

Today’s Good World Lixiangyuan Cuisine: Spicy and delicious pork trotters🧡🧡🧡 Salted fish and eggplant stew🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡 Sugar oil daddy🧡🧡🧡 Stir-fried pork belly with sour radish🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡 Stir-fried braised beef tongue🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡 Dried chive flavor🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡 🌶️ Stir-fried braised beef tongue, just like kissing wagyu 🐮 tongue! 🍊: Do you think it’s a bit bulky? I just popped it into my mouth. 🐈: The width is just right. When eating, you should close your eyes and chew slowly (French wet kiss) 📣📣📣Fried pork belly with sour radish 🍊: I want to ask the boss, why is this sour bamboo shoot so delicious😋? Boss: You can ask the chef later🧑‍🍳 (The boss also thought it was sour bamboo shoots) 🍊: Master Yin, why do your sour bamboo shoots not smell bad and are so delicious? I also specially transported sour bamboo shoots from China, but there was only a bad smell! Master Yin: This is the sour radish I pickled myself (hahahahahahaha we 🍊🐈 burst out laughing) 🐟Salted fish and eggplant stew, it’s worth it to make a salted fish that can be seen! Among the dishes I ate today, my favorite was the salted fish and eggplant stew. It’s a dish I don’t know how to order myself! But it is delicious, the eggplant 🍆 is very silky, and you can tell it is fried with lard as soon as you eat it! Very tasty. Then the salted fish that I eat at home is the super delicious dried eel that my aunt from Hainan brought to me. It has a salty aroma and I came home in a second. What I ate today really felt like a New Year’s Eve dinner!
