Grand Canal Hotel in Dublin

Overnighted here previously, but not this tome. Lovely hotel. Convenient location close to Barrow Street DART station. Conference facility was in basement. No sence of clostraphobia. Had lovely lunch in Bistro bar. Soup, wrap and chips and coffee for under €30.

Hotel is a lovely place, clean tidy and well set up. Food is excellent. Has what you would expect from a star hotel. The thing that makes this hotel extra special is the staff, very friendly, helpful and happy. I appreciate you may say thats the Irish way but 95% of the staff aren't irish.. We will definitely stay here again..

Had a few drinks in the bar after a rugby game at the Aviva stadium

The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Very clean. The staff is perfect. The pub and restaurant are very nice. The area is quiet and close to the center of Dublin. The breakfast is fabulous.

Booked into a room 217 with a broken window. Broken as in you could not close it without a large gap still evident. Shouldn't happen more especially as I had my young son with me. Surely room service had noted it to reception. Moved to a new room straight away and rest of stay was fine. Left a sour taste more so as I have stayed here many times in its past.
