Grangegeeth Inn in

Very good quality and excellent service

I both stayed here and enjoyed dinner and a few beers in their restaurant. The inn is great, I had a room in the back courtyard and it was full of amenities, washer, refrigerator, sink kitchen setup. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Food at the restaurant was fantastic, highly recommend the carbonara. Great location if you are going to see Bru Na Boinne or Newgrange. Also great spot if you are looking for a non touristy traditional Irish pub! Was only 40 minutes to the Dublin Airport, 10 minutes to the highway.

Only back after using the Grangegeeth Inn as a home base for a race weekend (Eoin O'S booking). The room was massive, very clean with all you need to be comfortable for your stay. The toilet and shower was the same, clean with towels and shampoo provided. The pub is lovely, served us up a few of the best pints you'd get anywhere. We didn't get food as the timing didn't suit with our comings and goings but if it's like the rest I'm sure it's ace. You simply won't do better than here at this price point! Thanks guys!

This is a decidedly mixed bag. The room was excellent, very spacious, very clean, with a good bed and a very good bathroom. Unlike other reviewers, I had no sewage smell anywhere. There's a large communal kitchen and lounge, also a nice touch. However, the place is in the middle of nowhere (closest trace of civilization is Slane, 5 km away) and, moreover, essentially deserted. Arriving at 4 pm (check-in time is given as 3 pm!), I was told by the rather rude lady running the pub/restaurant that she hadn't opened yet (after a 20 minutes' wait she did let me in though). Other than her, there was nobody to be seen during the whole of my stay (two nights), which made me feel rather uncomfortable. Btw, the pub is a bit rough and the food very basic. You're better off driving to Slane for dinner.
