Hawksmoor Dublin in Dublin

We booked the restaurant for birthday celebration (which they had to reminded about). The service was great - our waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly! The food on the other hand was very mediocre: maybe the reason was the choice we made (it was a mix grill platter with many different cuts) : we could not finish it and some cuts were 100% fat which was impossible to eat. The dessert on the other hand was very tasty: both pavlova and birthday ice cream were finished! Overall will probably be back to try the cuts we enjoyed alone just to give it another chance.

We’ve been to so many and this is definitely our favourite Hawksmoor by far! The service was exemplary and unique Dublin exclusive dishes were special!! Would return in a heartbeat!

On par with our absolute favorite bars/brasseries in NYC, we had an outstanding meal at Hawksmoor. Incredible steak/toppings/sides, delicious wine pairing, thoughtful service, well crafted cocktails, and immaculate vibes. Acoustics were excellent for conversation. Wish we could repeat!

We had a lovely anniversary lunch here this past Saturday. I wish I remembered the servers name as they were so lovely! All the staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed everything from start to finish. Excellent cocktails, great food, and great ambience/decor. Will be back next time we have a reason to splash out!

The ribeye was incredibly tender and packed with flavour. The beef dripping fries were nice and crispy, while the mash and gravy were comforting and delicious. The buttered cabbage was great. To top it off, the cocktails were expertly crafted and refreshing. Every dish was perfectly executed. Could easily get one sauce between two people. The cost of the meal does add up quite quickly however.

Really disappointed when you arrive into a steakhouse to be told how the meat is going to be cooked and it’s served “family style”. The steak was well beyond medium rare it was raw. And the sirloin was chewy and tasteless. The sides are so over salted I’d have drank 3 beers but seeing as the first one took 30 mins to arrive I didn’t.
