Hellfire in Dublin

I had a wonderful dinner here three nights ago. It was such a nice break from all of the pub food. The wait staff was amazing. They were extremely attentive and everyone of them pulled together. The food was fabulous. I had the Seabass with asparagus and carrots, and a side of truffle mashed potatoes. I had two Guinness out of an bottle (iced cold and delicious). The tap beer was not working or it was not operational.

If you're looking for excellent meat, this is the place to be. The service is impeccable: friendly, attentive, punctual, fast, and respectful. Prices are in line with the Dublin average. I'll be back.

Great food. The Denver cut was perfect and the parmesan and truffle mayo fries were almost good enough to rival the steak. The peppercorn sauce was smooth and punchy. For a modern-style restaurant where experience is key, the staff were too restless. From my wall-side seat overlooking the city I had someone at or overlooking my shoulder approximately every 60 seconds (not exaggerated). Staff seemed to idle front to back out of boredness, as if trying to look customers in from outside. That really unsettles the comfort of the dinner. Overlooking that, the gentlemen serving were sociable and friendly. The furnishing was comfortable, tables clean and the empty space filled with fitting, minimalist art. Recommended if you don't get a seat near the walking aisle. Note: some steaks are subject to availability. Get a reservation if you're picky.

I went to Hellfire today and had mixed feelings overall. For my starter, I had prawns in garlic broth – they were absolutely divine! 🤤 Highly recommended and the highlight of my evening. The rib-eye steak was cooked perfectly medium-rare and cooked to perfection. However, I was disappointed by the thickness of the steak. In my opinion, a rib-eye should be cut much thicker – mine was more like a flank steak. This unfortunately detracted from the typical rib-eye experience. The pepper sauce was also disappointing. It didn't seem homemade and was far too salty, so it overpowered the steak rather than complementing it. Considering the price of around €100 for the meal and two glasses of wine, I didn't find the value for money entirely convincing. However, I would like to commend the staff: The service was consistently friendly, attentive, and professional. Kudos to them.

Fantastic steaks. Awesome wine. A wonderful place. Not cheap, but we'll be back.

We went to celebrate our anniversary as we always do steak and we couldn’t be any happier about it! We ordered some olives and almonds that were so tasty and then the steak came and OMG it was absolutely amazing plus plenty of sides included such as padrón peppers, mash, fries, salad and sauces. For dessert we went with the cheesecake that sounded weird but trust me rosemary and white chocolate they do belong together! Nice out in Dublin and the price was reasonable!

I wish I had found this place earlier. I came here specifically for the Iberico Secreto, one of my very favourite meals (Hellfire Special - Iberico Secreto pork, garlic potatoes, padron peppers, and chimichurri). After having a very disappointing version elsewhere in the city, I was a little sceptical and asked the server how it was prepared. I was told the chef is from Spain and that it would not disappoint, so I ordered an Amaretto Sour and hoped for the best. I got their best. They nailed it. Everything about this visit was perfect. The food was fantastic, the service friendly and impeccable, and the price very reasonable. Everything on the menu looked so good. Thank you so much for a memorable last meal before I head home tomorrow.

Excellent family dinner. We went without a reservation, but the staff was incredibly efficient in finding us a table. Angelo provided outstanding service, offering great advice on the meat and wine pairings. Highly recommended!

We recently visited Hellfire and had a really great and unique experience.We were served by Angel, who was extremely friendly and professional. He spoke several languages, including Italian, English, Spanish, and Portuguese, which made the experience even more enjoyable and personal. It was really interesting talking with him, and he gave us excellent recommendations for both the meat and the wine. We were a group of people speaking different languages, and not everyone was fluent in English, but Angel made us all feel completely at home. His kindness and ability to communicate with everyone made a real difference to our experience. The food was outstanding, threatmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, and the service really made the whole experience even better. Overall, it was a fantastic evening. We would definitely come back again, and we’re looking forward to returning and chatting with Angel once more!
