Hole in the Wall in Dublin

Lovely pub, vey cosy and lot of charm. It's just a shame it's focused a lot on food, as the food leaves a lot to be desired. Quite bland and meh overall. Good staff and solid Guinness. Could easily be a 5/5 if the food was worth returning for. It's a solid pub food aside.

One of Dublins oldest and finest public houses. Situated along the wall of the Phoenix Park on Blackhorse Ave it is a 15 minute drive from the city. A marvellous restaurant and wine cellar form part of the premises, the wine is aplenty, and really well priced. The bar offers all the popular beers along with their own brand beers and whiskeys. During the Christmas period the pub is brilliantly decorated to make it the cosiest of winter wonderlands, the open fires within adding to the atmosphere. In the summer it is customary to go outside and enjoy the Park, a great way to spend lazy evenings. Give yourself a treat and make your way out to it, you won't be disappointed.

I haven't been to hole in the wall in years, on this occasion it was really hot and sunny so I came with my grandfather for a meal! Sarah was out waitress on the day and she was very pleasant and friendly, the restaurant was nice calm inside. However I will say my meal wasn't great, the beef was ok but quite grizzly and the veg was undercooked and fondant potatoes were nearly raw! Sarah apologised on behalf of the food and gave us a dessert on house and extra mash! She was professional and nice on the day!

What an amazing experience!!! It is a joy finding and eating to such a good place. The staff was organised and polite, the place was clean and the vibes were on point. Now let's talk about the main attraction, the food was amazing, we had some buffalo wings with some side fries and sauce. The best wings I ever tried in my life, I would recommend this pleacw to anyone coming to Dublin, with a Guinness to top it off of course.

Food was excellent may need to book a table. Good parking and staff very nice. Very clean and service quick.

Best pub from our visit in Dublin. Outside the city but much better than the touristy ones in the centre. Amazing traditional atmosphere, delicious food and super friendly very welcoming staff. And the Guinness is just the best there 🤤🍻🍀

Bucket List must! 15 mins outside of downtown Dublin, at Phoenix Park. You'll want to get lost in this one of a kind historical landmark, serving great drinks & awesome food, matched only by outstanding hospitality and grace from every staff member. Don't be afraid of the long line outside, it's for their coffee stand, which has wonderful coffee and sells unbelievable coffee beans for grinding at home. Inside the restaurant, look for the "7G" room where the leaders of those countries sat & conducted their business. The Sunday Roast is authentic and the service is perfect. Ask for Martin (owner), if you're lucky he'll be there and give you an unforgettable special tour. It's a remarkable restaurant, managed to perfection.

Visited The Hole in the Wall on a Saturday around 18:00 and it actually wasn’t too busy. We mainly came for the drinks and to see the pub itself, since it’s known as one of the longest pubs — and yes, it really is quite an awesome place. The waiters were very friendly, the atmosphere was great, and the location right next to Phoenix Park is perfect. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Dublin.

Food was good and portions large. You do not come here for food though but the atmosphere. Excellent service, good beer and amazing location. PS: chicken wings were delicious 🤗😎🍗👌
