An absolutely fantastic experience at House of Read! Hands down the best mocha I’ve had in Ireland. The cake was delicious, and the atmosphere is wonderfully cozy and welcoming. To make it even better, Taiga provided incredible service so friendly and attentive. Highly recommend🥳

Highly recommended spot in Dublin! It’s like stepping back in time. The place is steeped in history, and the staff shared some of those stories with us. Everything served looked impressive and was packed with flavor. I also really loved the tableware (I even ended up buying a milk jug as a souvenir) 🥰 lovely place

Amazing hot chocolate and the nicest staff! I've always gotten take away but the café itself is really charming as well. They have the option of dark, milk or white hot chocolate or a mix. And sooo many syrups to choose from! Plus they have a loyalty card where you get one of their chocolate treats for free every few drinks and they usually are really pricy but delicious as hell! They also sell loose leaf tea, their chocolate chips and super cute mugs. This is such a gem in the city centre!

17/09/2026: We visited Dublin end of August. This little place is classic! The host got folks in and out from the queue and waited tables to boot. He was excellent but please note there was a quota on how many questions you could ask. Don’t ask for cream with your coffee. Just order a white coffee. I admit I asked way too many questions. So if you’re like Sally in When Harry Met Sally this is not your place!! Our waiter gave us his very best service considering his workload and ignored us when appropriate! The owner who we didn’t know anything about harassed our friend for not finishing her plate and implored us to get the —— out!! We loved it!! This is a greasy spoon kind of place, so if you’re looking for upscale and scrupulous just forget about that and go elsewhere. We do wish we got a photo of the owner with our friend. He’s the best…
