Idlewilde in Dublin

01/06/2024: We stayed in the hotel and while waiting to check in I tried the angus burger here and was pleasantly surprised. I’m a bit of a burger snob, so I was taken aback that It ended up being one of the more flavourful burgers I’ve ever had. We even ordered again later in our trip for room service. The beef patty may very well be frozen, but it’s properly seasoned and has a nice beef flavour throughout. Whatever cheese they put on it went incredibly well with it, too. We hadn’t tried anything else on the menu, but I’m still thinking about the burger, so give it a shot.

18/05/2024: I wanted to eat here because of the first dates show so I’m glad I did that and the hotel decor is indeed lovely. But it was a bit of a perfunctory meal in that we were served in record time and in and out within an hour. So it didn’t feel like the romantic meal I had anticipated, but the food was good enough. Maybe they were super quick because it was a concert night.
