Il Valentino Bakery & Cafe in Dublin

Il Valentino is a hidden gem in Dublin, offering an authentic Italian experience that stands out from the usual city cafes. The focaccia is consistently fresh, and their selection of pastries—especially the cannoli—is arguably some of the best you’ll find in the area.

Still a very nice place - just letting people know that they are no longer dog friendly, they have changed the policy but there is no warning notice up yet. We were asked to leave with our dog after waiting a long time in line. We will still visit often but this was a bit stressful, please put up a sign :)

Ordered a birthday cake a day before. The staff did an amazing job accommodating my request. The mango strawberry cake was delicious.

We stopped here for a quick snack during our bike tour and were very pleased. The selection of pastries and light meals is really extensive and tastes fantastic. The coffee was also excellent – ​​just what we needed for a perfect break on the road. Highly recommended for a short stop!

I can’t believe I never rated Il Valentino before! It’s my favourite go to place for the BEST pistachio croissant - full of cream (pleasantly sweet), the size of it and such good price too!! Their other pastries are good too. I like the vibe of this bakery plus people working here are friendly and nice too. Definitely always recommend P.S I’ve not been in their other branches and my recommendation is purely for the one in the Grand Canal Docks

One of the best Cafes in Dublin!!! Great coffee and amazing pastries & cakes. The location is also fantastic, at the docklands close to many turist places if you are visiting Dublin but if you are local it is a nice spot to catch up with a friend or just grab a treat.

Great food, we keep coming back to try different sandwiches
