Strange as it sounds, details like that add to the feeling that you’re experiencing a proper old pub that’s stayed true to itself instead of chasing modern trends. The service was friendly, the atmosphere was exactly what you’d hope for, and the whole place has the kind of charm that can’t be manufactured. The Cock Tavern isn’t just somewhere to grab a drink. It’s somewhere to explore. Every corner has its own personality, and every room feels like it has a hundred stories waiting to be told. Five stars for proving that you should never judge a pub by its frontage.
