Indigo in Dublin

After flights canceled.. Rebooked have to change to 2 layovers almost missing my prepaid guided tour. Having nothing because the airport lost my luggage..ON MY BIRTHDAY mind you... All my preparations for my birthday dinner.. New outfit new camera all clothes toiletries etc.. Lost and all I get is a shrug.. oh well..I was a bit bummed... Then I check in to Clontarf!!!! This guy was AMAZING!!! He wasn't only kind at check in. He was thoughtful. He brought me Prucecco and chocolates.. and even a toothbrush and tooth paste kit.. You sir saved the day!! Thank you so much for just being kind!!

Food drink rooms all good let down by reception staff not setting up our request properly a bit annoying as we had to pay at bar as room not linked to voucher

I love this hotel. The staff is amazing. It is beautiful. The only two issues I had is one, no hair conditioner (which is very surprising since this is a 4 star hotel). Not even the front desk has conditioner. Second the pillows are very firm (I asked for soft pillows and we couldn't tell then apart from the regular, still very firm)

Location is perfect for someone comes from large city like NYC, hotel is tucked away and 10min walk to ocean. Hotel decor is definitely unique and displaying signs of aging and used wilderness - hotel lobby needs renovation to fixed all those warbling decorative seatings and status But, those damned pillows are way too high and firm. Typically the two pillows provided are one soft lower and one firm not two for two will provide next pain!!! Service is so so, we waited 7min for someone get off from the phone at checkin counter, with a lone, without second receptionist - a second one finally came from a corner to help with tue cab needer behind us.

The hotel's setting is fabulous. Peaceful, fantastic for spending a few quiet days away from the hustle and bustle of the city, surrounded by low houses and tranquil gardens. Highly recommended for a couple of nights. Very easily accessible from the city center by bus and also from Howth, the popular fishing village, by bus and train. Nice and comfortable rooms. The pillows were quite high for us, but we asked for a lower one at reception and there was no problem. Comfortable bed and good cleanliness overall. The breakfast was very good, a buffet style but of good quality. Large and spacious facilities. Something I didn't like was that they send dozens of messages before arrival, about all the things they offer. I understand that offering their services is part of the experience, but I found it too pushy.

Room ok...tv not working and heating difficult to sort...

My husband and I stayed here for a night to celebrate and booked the Spring Retreat deal. It was a very good deal for what we got, including wine, chocolates, a delicious three-course meal, and breakfast. We were even upgraded to a better room due to a slight mix-up with our original booking, which was a lovely gesture! The staff were incredibly friendly, the food was excellent, and the rooms were very cozy. The entire hotel is super organized and clean. My only two "misses" were that the beautiful piano in the lobby is locked (just for decoration), which is a pity, and there isn't much to do within the castle itself other than the bars, restaurants, and the cozy lobby. Overall, it's a lovely place to stay and we had a wonderful time!

This was a real castle and well worth a visit, for a drink, to relax, or try the restaurant .Plenty of parking or if you prefer there is a Bus stop outside the Castle..

Had a lovely stay at Clontarf Castle! The room was beautiful and our Valentine’s experience was incredible. The food was delicious and the staff were warm, attentive, and made it truly special.
