Irish Film Institute in Dublin

Visited this cinema on a recent trip to Dublin based on it being number 24 on Timeouts 50 best cinemas in the UK and Ireland. We watched the Zone of interest in Screen 1. The film itself was fantastic. The cinema has a modern atrium. We paid 13 euro each which I thought was a standard price. They only have salted popcorn which we avoided on this occassion. They also sell cans of soda at the shop. Toilets were clean and required a passcode to enter. Good central location in the Temple bar area. I enjoyed my expericence on this occassion.

Theatre 1 is good. Theatre 3 is bad, seats are terrible, hard to sit for more than 30 mins. No disabled access. And no disabled toilets. Rows are so tight together , you have to get up and leave row to let people past , and only access from one side . Will never go back to theatre 3 , thats sad as I joined the film club.

By far the best cinema in Dublin, great food options and the staff are top notch. Cinemas are very comfortable and the projection quality is hard to beat.

Times of films doesnt suit people. Lovely cinema and restaurant very unique building. Warm and cosy , great movies. Ticket Prices and food too high though
