Istanbul Kebab House in Dublin

27/11/2024: Usually, my experience at this restaurant is excellent; I've been here a few times and loved it! But today, I had a very unfortunate and unpleasant experience with the staff. I arrived on time for my reservation, but I was left waiting at the door for several minutes, and none of the staff even acknowledged me as they passed by. When I was finally taken to my table, I ordered a drink and an appetizer while waiting for my friend to arrive. Neither was served. When my friend arrived, only then did the waitress inform me that the appetizer was unavailable. We requested the menu, and she brought the drink I had initially ordered to go with the appetizer—which was no longer needed—but I was practically forced to pay for it(I said I didn’t want anymore and didn’t drink it at all) From that point onward, there were multiple instances of rudeness. Several times, staff tried to take plates away before we had finished eating. The menu we requested included matching cocktails, but the last course, which was dessert, was served without the accompanying cocktail. When we complained, the waitress brought the cocktail, but we had to rush through it because they were eager to close. I hope the service improves, as it made the experience extremely stressful.

23/11/2024: Normal option was very nice, and catered well to a dairy allergy. However the vegetarian menu needs a lot more effort. None of the six courses included a protein, and were worse versions of the main menu, leaving the vegetarians still quite hungry on leaving. Atmosphere and building were lovely and it was nice interactive experience. Food was very tasty aside from the above
