Joels Restaurant in Dublin

First time eating in Joel's Restaurant. Had a truly lovely evening. Food was delicious, service was excellent and price range of menu was very reasonable.

We had a family group of 7+2 children the service was very good the waiter who served us was attentive to our needs the children loved the duck s and the free lollipops Thank you TD

The food was good, but somewhat simply presented. The fish in the fish and chips was very greasy and lacked flavor. I had ordered extra vegetables. These were fine and the chips were really nice. The service was very friendly, but it was very chaotic and it took quite a while before I could order. I found it very noisy and felt like I sometimes had to shout to make myself heard.

Lovely waiter Rubel served us yesterday, we were a group of 9, 6 adults and three children had wings for starters which were very tasty. Drinks were all great. Two children had beef burger deal with chips from the lucky duck menu and chicken tenders and chips all the children really enjoyed their meals. Adults had roast beef dinner, chicken maryland dinner fish and chips and three chicken currys with basmati rice all were really tasty. We had cocktails which were great really nice. Would definitely recommend Joel's to anyone, it was lovely we cant wait to return. Ruben was very friendly and helpful he made the experience great thank you.

The lasagne is finally back! 5 stars for that alone. Jennifer was also a lovely server.

Updated 2026 - Delighted to see the much loved lasagne has returned - it's delish, and very highly recommended 👌 Also, I'm thrilled to see Jennifer is still working there, she's been part of the team for many years and is a real credit to the restaurant. My family have held many birthdays, get-togethers etc in Joel's over the years, so it's great to see many of the long-term staff still being there. 2023 Review: The atmosphere is very laid back. The restaurant is clean and they give decent portions. The nachos are great as a starter or a main. They use excellent quality, Irish beef. The sirloin steak is always a winner! There's a wide selection of desserts available. I'd recommend the profiteroles and the pavlova. As for cocktails, the Piña Coladas and Strawberry Daiquiris are nice, but they're at city centre prices. The staff are very helpful and friendly. There's plenty of free parking available. After Covid, they greatly reduced the menu - the limited menu remains in place in April 2023. The Lasagne was removed, which is a real pity as it was their best dish. I'll restore the 5-star rating if they bring back the lasagne (assuming it meets the same high quality standards).

Food was pretty good. Of note, my rib eye was well-cooked and the prawn cocktail wasn't drowning in sauce like most other places. The only downside was getting onions I had specifically asked to be left off my plate in the mushrooms and a large onion ring on my steak. Is a nice atmosphere as well, one would almost forget about the busy N7 outside. The last time we went, there was live music. None this visit, which was fine.

First time here in years. Fabulous. Great food and excellent service. Will be back very soon.

It's been a long time since I,ve been to Joel's and I will be returning quite soon as the food i had was delicious, I had the bbq chicken bites to start which were 10 out of 10 ,I had the monkfish for dinner which was equally as good ,service was excellent as was the atmosphere, great food at a great price.
