Joels Restaurant in Dublin

Very good value large portions service fast and friendly

Food was nice but place was very under staffed unfortunately . Staff at the bar were ran off there feet ! Went to the bar myself twice and was over 25 minutes waiting on both occasions as there was only 3 staff serving the WHOLE restaurant! We asked for water at the table on a number of occasions but never turned up ! Overall wouldn't go back and definitely wouldn't have a party of over 10 people they can't handle big groups.

Some special prices were excluded on holiday weekends. This is not made clear on the website.

One of the dinners had a breast of chicken that turned out to be pink/raw inside, not cooked properly. The waitress agreed with us when we showed it to her. She took it away to show the cook. But then the manager came back, without the plate of food and said it wasn't pink that it was perfectly fine, he lied, In the end he didn't charge us for that dinner but he lied to our faces that it wasn't raw inside, that it was white and okay to eat. If it was okay to eat, why didn't he bring it back to us.

Joel's is one of those restaurants that usually either like or well for me love. Yes that's a lot of ask. There is a comfortable atmosphere even if noisy at times The children always find what they want and clear the plates Adults can "pin them in" at the table but service usually serves children 1st. Variety, quality and quantity are 100%. You will enjoy whatever you chose. Cooked just for you.

Food was excellent obviously i didn't eat everything i recommended below but people in our group had those meals and said they enjoyed them very much 😀

We arrived at Joel's after a cremation. No reservation. There was 15 of us we all had different meals . Burgers pastas curry fish . All arrived mostly together which was amazing . Server was brilliant .

Family meal for celebration. 16 of us in total. We were asked if the food and drinks were on the one tab. We kept food and drinks tab separate so you just go get your own drinks at the bar. There is a set menu for €33, you just have to ask for it. Turkey and ham roast dinner very dry even with loads of gravy. Burgers and chips everyone who ordered really enjoyed it. Chicken curry was ok. Staff were very good, all meals served more or less at the same time and all hot. Had to ask a couple of times for jugs of water for the table. Table was booked for 3 and at 5.55 we were asked to clear the table which is fair for the people who booked after us. Haven't been here in years and really enjoyed it
