Just Chubbys Tacos Truck in Dublin

We did have a good time but weren’t too impressed with the food to be honest. We ordered several dishes for the table and really enjoyed the chicken in soy garlic sauce and can also recommend the corn. However, the slow cooked short rib for 37 Euro was a disappointment and definitely overpriced. We are not rushing back although staff was super friendly and we enjoyed the vibe.

We came here for some dinner on Thursday night. The girl at the front was very welcoming and gave us some menus while we waited (we were early). On the drinks menu it had their cocktails and then said underneath “Classics (just ask)” so I asked for a couple of different classics and they told me I could only order what’s on the menu 🤨 so I ended up just getting a soft drink. we ordered some food which was good, the corn ribs is a cool concept and the chicken tasted really good but the constant fruit flys in your face was really off putting and my partner ended up leaving his beer as there was flys in it. The staff were nice but no one checked on us once after we got our food and when we tried to get someone’s attention to ask for napkins as our food was messy they just walked past us. It was also a pretty cold day but they had the big door open for some reason so had to sit with my jacket on the entire time. Overall the venue is very aesthetic but the food and service was mid.

Love the food and the drinks. Slightly disappointed with the cauliflower tacos - boiled cauliflower stuck out. I can understand the door open in the day time but majority of the customers had their coats on.

Everything about this restaurant is incredible. The food and staff are both 10/10, especially Jen and Barry, always make us feel at home, could not recommend it more for any occasion <3

Simply wow! A restaurant that Dublin, especially the north east has needed for a long time. Huge portions, mouthwatering flavours and textures. All the staff/hosts are so welcoming, even with a full house. The interior design and artwork is as tasty as their food. It’s beautifully done and their chairs will have you there the whole night. Looking forward to the cocktails next time!

This is absolutely a destination worthy restaurant in Dublin. Stylish and inventive with every dish even better than I had expected. Service and cocktails were amazing, no shock to hear it’s booked up for months already. You’ll be thinking about this meal for days, already planning to go back and try the other half of the menu!

Really loved this place - good beer and margaritas, really good tacos and food! Highlights for us were fried chicken and the pork rolls 😍 We sat at the bar which is fun - spying on all the chefs cheffing 👨‍🍳Everyone working there seemed sound and nice atmosphere overall

I have wanted to try Chubby’s since it was a food truck and finally had the opportunity to enjoy their food this weekend at their restaurant. Getting good Mexican food in Dublin has always been a challenge, but this place is truly sublime. I think my eyes were a bit bigger than my stomach though as we couldn’t even finish all the food we ordered despite it being so delicious. Standout dishes for me were the birria tacos which had a slight aniseed aftertaste and the slow roasted pork roll which just melted in your mouth it was so tender. Price was incredibly fair and the ambience of the restaurant was great. Already looking forward to coming back again.
