Between 4 and 5 stars. Interior atmosphere was quaint and authentically ethnic. We ordered char away teow for takeout, and it was pretty good (no photos). More lard would have made it the real deal, though. Portions were a little small.

Kopitiam is a lovely spot for authentic Malaysian street food right in Dublin. From the moment you walk in, the place feels warm and welcoming, with a cosy atmosphere and colourful décor that reflects its Malaysian roots. It’s especially inviting in the evening and has a relaxed, neighbourhood café vibe. The food is the real highlight. The menu offers a great range of Malaysian dishes, with rich flavours, generous portions, and clearly a lot of care put into the cooking. Everything tastes fresh and well-seasoned, and it’s a great place to try classic Malaysian comfort food if you’re not already familiar with the cuisine. Service is friendly and attentive without being rushed, and staff are happy to explain dishes or make recommendations. Prices are reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, making it good value for money. Overall, Kopitiam is a great choice for anyone looking for something a bit different in Dublin, whether you’re already a fan of Malaysian food or trying it for the first time. Definitely worth a visit.

Kopitiam is a gem in Dublin 🇲🇾 I had the Char Kway Teow and Roti Canai - both were spot on, full of flavour and proper comfort food. My friends ordered the Nasi Lemak and it was just as good. Everything we tried was a hit. Great food, great vibes. Highly recommend.

I would’ve rated this restaurant 5-star a year ago. It used to be my go to asian place whenever I’m around the area. But this time around I was left with mixed feelings. Maybe it’s just that day. The taste didn’t reach of what I would call satisfactory level. Rendang would be my go to dish but ohwell. Should be on the lookout for something else next time 👀

Great food and excellent service. When I got in, I let them know that I had a very limited amount of time because I was heading to a movie. They had my Mee Goreng ready in 10 minutes!
