I've been here a few times and while it's still great, it doesn't feel as good as it was on my previous visits - the atmosphere felt a little odd.

Special location underground, an overcrowded little tiny tiny bistrot. The food is good but you have to eat in a very uncomfortable way while sitting on uncomfortable tiny couches and eating on micro tables almost attached each other with the neighbors. Claustrophobic. Good service and very polite people. Anyway, a place where I wouldn't come back.

A beautiful hidden gem that is cozy, ambient and classic, especially fab around Christmas time. Perfect for a wine and charcuterie night with friends

An old gem that is one of Dublin's hidden secrets. Tucked away underground just a stones throw away from Grafton street, Le Cave is the same as it always was. Great food, fine wine and the same ambiance since I was first in it in 1992. We love the place!

According to our new friend Margaret, who we met in Cork, we chose a great hidden gem for our last meal in Dublin. She was not wrong. At first when you walk in and then down the stairs to this tiny place, packed with people, it can be a little bit concerning. However, we were quickly acknowledged and seated. A booking is recommended. They pack the tables in, so be prepared to become best friends with the people around you, just as we did. We selected a Margaux from their exceptional wine list, and Oysters and a Prawn cocktail to start. For our mains we had Duck a l'orange and the filet of beef. We finished our meal with the cheese plate. Every course was excellent. This classic French bistro did not disappoint. Highly recommend.

Roberta's

15/04/2025: Roberta’s – Stylish Dining in the Heart of Temple Bar Roberta’s is a breath of fresh air in the middle of Temple Bar — stylish yet relaxed, with a glass-roofed setting that makes any night feel special. The menu is well-crafted without being fussy; the wood-fired pizza is a standout, and the sea bass was cooked to perfection. Cocktails are clever but not overdone, and the staff strike the right balance between friendly and professional. It’s not the cheapest place around, but for the atmosphere, quality, and overall vibe, it’s worth it. A great spot for a casual-yet-polished dinner or a night out with friends.

DASH- Container Cafe

02/03/2025: Excellent food, special service. Highly recommended
23/02/2025: Coffee is reasonably good. Selection of pastries and treats is good. Porridge and overnight oats are excellent. Very popular spot and sometimes there is a queue.
