La Cave Wine Bar & Restaurant, menu in Dublin

No doubt about it, that's French class at its finest.

Jean was a superstar. His wine knowledge was really helpful.

We had the pre-theatre menu @34.50, plus three glasses of wine which were reasonably priced. The food was very good, as was the service. Half of the diners appeared to be regulars, which is always a good sign. The basement is an intimate space, so avoid if you are claustrophobic! We enjoyed La Cava and will go back.

I visited La Cave for the first time yesterday and was impressed. The restsurant is cozy, not very big but great atmosphere and comfortable. Our server was very pleasant, attentive and friendly. The food was simple in choice, very tasty and really well cooked. The vegetabke and potato accompaniments were just right for the chicken dish I had. The wine list also had wines by the glass that I liked. All in all a very pleasant experience and I will definitely return.

Lovely old-school french restaurant. They haven't changed a thing since they opened in the late eighties. I bring my 80 year old parents there and it's a step into a charming past.

delicious, reasonably priced prix fixe. Also the only place of its kind serving food at 9 pm on a Wednesday in February in the area.

I've had an amazing dinner last night at La Cave Restaurant Every dish was delicious and we've tried a red and a dessert wine with both being very tasty. Atmosphere and ambience it's very relaxing and staff are very attentive. I just want to clarify and apologise at the same time that when I've got the bill which was 149 euro ,being a bit tired after a long day ,I thoght I have seen 139 and I wanted to round it to 150 as a tip. Only later on the way home I realised that it was actually 149 not 139 like I thought I have seen so basically I only gave few cents tip and I just want to let the staff know it was not intentional nor disrespectful in any way and I apologise if the staff lady got it that way I will definitely come back to this restaurant and leave a bigger tip next time

Fantastic evening with the family. Service was great, lovely waiters, water was refilled often, and the complimentary bread was DELICIOUS!!. Food came quickly, portions were reasonable but the food was incredible — I ordered the Goats Cheese Salad, Duck Breast, and Mixed Berry Sorbet. Lovely warm atmosphere, we sat upstairs.
