Superb service and food in this great little restaurant. The pork is INSANELY GOOD (one of those plates of food that you'll talk about and try to recreate at home with no success) and the rest of the menu is pretty good too. The staff are passionate about what they do and the produce they serve. Truly excellent!

Excellent spot. Suits a group very well because the small plates menu has so much to choose from and it’s all delicious. We took recommendations on what to order and none of the plates disappointed. The service was helpful, friendly and efficient. Would recommend.

I had a wonderful experience at La Gordita! A special thank you to Michelle, who kindly managed to find me a table on short notice. The whole evening was fantastic: the food was delicious, the atmosphere warm, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be coming back!

Had dinner with a friend - food really beautiful but portion sizes are very small for the price. The anchovies with blue cheese were divine. The squid salad was so fresh and the dill dressing was fantastic. The only bread available is one slice of sourdough with garlic for 4.50 would be great to have bread basket available as lots of the dishes could have done with mopping up. The chocolate tart was among the best I have ever had.

Great food. It might be slightly on the pricier side but I think that this reflects the quality of the ingredients. Very friendly staff too. Highly recommend.

22/04/2025: Hen Party! We came here for the end of my daughter's hen party last Saturday, 18 of us and it was wonderful! It was held in a small cosy bar downstairs, perfect for a small group. We were greeted with prosecco on arrival and we booked some delicious canapés/cheese boards. We had booked a cocktail making session which was great fun! We each got to make (behind the bar!) a margarita and an espresso martini or a mocktail for those who preferred. There was a side room with a TV and we had a slideshow of photos and played games like Mr & Mrs. It was €49 a head, terrific value! We were moved up to a bright upstairs bar much later as the area was booked by another group but we partied on and had the best time! Thanks to Guido and his team for looking after us so well and also to Antonio who walked me to Baggot Street to my taxi carrying all the bits I was charged with to take home! We would highly recommend a visit, the staff fully engaged with the spirit of the occasion, it was just perfect!
