★★★★★ An authentic taste of Spain in Dublin. Everything was absolutely outstanding, from the moment we walked in until we left. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and attentive, making the whole experience even better. The quality of the ingredients is exceptional. You can tell they use genuine Spanish products. The olive oil is fantastic, they even serve traditional Spanish picos (breadsticks), and their selection of Jerez sherries is outstanding—one of the best I've seen outside Spain. The oysters were incredibly fresh, the Cantabrian anchovies were simply amazing, the spring onions with romesco sauce were out of this world, and the Soldaditos de Pavía were absolutely incredible. It's a traditional Spanish dish that's surprisingly hard to find, even in Spain, and they prepare it perfectly. Every single dish was delicious. The price reflects the quality of the ingredients, and after tasting the food, you realise it's worth every euro. I'll definitely be coming back. If you're looking for authentic, top-quality Spanish food in Dublin, this is the place to go. Highly recommended. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My favorite place in Dublin. I’ve been several times for the past few years and it just keeps getting better and better. Food and wine are absolutely excellent. The menu changes quite often, everything has a great quality and it’s amazingly cooked. The service is just wonderful. And the whole place is so beautiful and cozy. I love being at the counter, it’s a great experience! It probably has the best staff you can find in the city, really really good!

**Solid dinner, warm service.** La Gordita is a lively and popular Spanish tapas restaurant. We saw several walk-in diners turned away on a weeknight, so arriving without a reservation is something of a gamble. The restaurant’s greatest strength is its warm, gracious service. The staff were attentive, intuitive, and genuinely welcoming throughout the evening. A few dishes also stood out. La Gordita seems particularly strong in its sourcing: the jamón ibérico and crispy pork belly were both exceptional—the kind of dishes that make you pause, close your eyes, and simply enjoy the flavors. The remaining plates were perfectly enjoyable, though less memorable. The Vía Arxéntea Mencía was pleasant and easy-drinking, well suited to tapas, although not especially distinctive. For the price, however, it felt like a reasonable choice. We ordered nine tapas of varying sizes and a bottle of wine. As usual, we probably ate more than the average guests. The total, including a 15% gratuity—which is generous by Irish standards—was €227.59. Considering the quantity of food and the quality of the service, we found it a reasonable value. La Gordita is worth visiting when you are in the mood for Spanish food, particularly if you are nearby. Just be sure to reserve ahead.

And as for the quality of the kitchen: every dish is a true work of art that brings traditional flavors straight to your palate, crafted with fresh ingredients and meticulous care. What an incredible experience! From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The staff made us feel at home and were happy to guide us through the menu. The food was simply outstanding. Having lived in Spain for 10 years, I'm quite picky when it comes to Spanish food, and La Gordita exceeded my expectations. Every dish was full of authentic flavours, made with top-quality ingredients, and reminded me of some of the best meals I had in Spain. The prawns, anchovies with blue cheese (a must try), and crispy aubergine were all exceptional, and the fresh bread was perfect for soaking up every last bit. It's wonderful to find a place in Dublin that captures the true spirit of Spanish cuisine so well. A huge thank you to the whole team for such a fantastic meal. We'll definitely be back!
