We went for our 1 year marriage anniversary and welcomed with a delicious sparkling wine and wishes by the manager. The place is very cozy and well organized, and a wonderful service was provided by the team. The food was very good and for a good price. Excellent place to go, we will return in the future. We had an excellent experience!

On the positive side staff are lovely here. The location is also promising, tucked away off Dawson Street. The food is ok - so stop reading here if that’s all you want. It’s disappointing however (ok at best), particularly if you were going here hoping for a French restaurant. There’s a variety of starters, also labelled ‘tapas’, and the menu starts unpromisingly with garlic bread and lists patatas bravas too. Scallops were ok. Pâté tasted pretty industrial. Various other dishes are on offer, many French, but it feels like it may have gone so far in catering for Irish tastes that any sense of this being a truly French restaurant is lost. Tartiflette was ok. Side salad was really not nice. Apart from a creme brûlée they’d pretty much given up on French food by the time the menu got to dessert. The decor is not great, not the loud music. This could be a great place, so time for a revamp starting with the menu, which has too much on it.

I've been wanting to go to this restaurant for years and it never felt the right time. Finally it did and I'm incredibly pleased that moment has arrived! The restaurant remains a bit hidden, in a small alley (Ruelle) that starts from one of the busiest streets in Dublin when it comes to nightlife. The menu has some Spanish influences, starting from the fact that most dishes can be ordered as starters/taps. Differently from what I had planned when leaving home, we ended up doing a dinner of tapas. Absolutely loved the tartiflette, incredibly tasty. The last time I had it was 10 years ago in Savoy. This one was at least as good as I remembered! The gambas were probably the highlight of the dinner for us. Scallops were also very good and the ratatouille surprisingly tasty. The figs wrapped in ham were interesting but the fact that they were cold didn't match too well the rest of what we ordered, at least for my taste. The bread & butter pudding was very good while I found the profiterols quite tasteless. I loved that they had a good choice of sweet wines!! Staff incredibly kind & helpful helped making the dinner a special one 👌

Abbey Tavern

11/09/2024: Prefect pub to end our trip with! The inside is amazing. There were 8 of us and we were served quickly. Nessa, who has worked there for 26 years, was fantastic! There is an entire vegetarian/vegan menu, just ask for it. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The sticky toffee cake is more like a spiced cake. Still good, but not what we expected. Get the bread pudding if you’re getting dessert. Amazing!
24/08/2024: Wonder ful food, deliciously prepared. Great selection of libations. Service was very friendly. Great authentic Irish up. Was a tad noisy but typical of after work crowd. They also had traditional Irish music.

The Library Bar

12/10/2024: The staff at Fitzpatric Castle Hotel are all incredibly kind and helped with any questions we had! The hotel is incredibly clean and in a wonderful location! Mapas was absolutely amazing. The staff were incredible kind, warm and absolutely lovely, and the food was absolutely delicious. We ate there each night, and I couldn't believe how delicious each meal was. My Wife highly recommends the vegan flank stank. I had basically one of each non vegetarian meal and they were all fantastic. Thank you Mapas for such an incredible experience with amazing and caring service!
07/09/2024: Hotel near Dublin in a town called Dalkey. At the same time, it is a club where different sports are played. Large, comfortable rooms and excellent service. Perhaps what we liked the least was the breakfast, since for the category of the hotel it could offer more things
