Lovely hotel, great food but the five stars are for the staff, so friendly and funny, especially Helen, who made our breakfast and our cousin William Murphy giggle away, and teasing our other cousin about cleaning up after himself, getting us extra bread, nothing was too much to ask. We had a funeral that morning and the hospitality we received made a very sad occasion that bit easier to deal with.

Stopped in for a quick dinner after the Listowel Races and found a welcoming and exceptional restaurant. Food was superb, in fact the best and most perfectly cooked steak I have ever had in Ireland. Our server Sarah was very nice and attentive without interference (she and the whole team kept a watchful eye while serving others). I plan to come back and make it a regular stop after a round at nearby Ballybunion when friends visit. A must stop if you want a great meal in a warm, friendly, traditional Irish restaurant.

We have eaten in the past week 4 times in the hotel and the food has large enough portions and is great. Would recommend this place as the staff are lovely and friendly creating a lovely local atmosphere.

The lighting was a little too subdued but again, something I wish PEOPLE, and NOT management, would change is - One Server to each Customer/Patron - it is easier to have a bit if banter. Personally, I don't want 4 or 5 or 6 people running around doing only one job each.
