The cafe is extremely pleasant in a quiet location. The food is all homemade by the owner operator. The staff are superb, friendly, and accommodating. Service is prompt, and the prices are very reasonable. The design of the location in terms of seating inside and outside, when weather permits is excellent. I highly recommend it.

Fabulous fresh exciting food every time ! Great coffee and cakes too. This place is a hidden gem. My favourite place for a big bowl of salad, winter and summer, thats delicious and different with every bite. Their brown bread is a winner too.

13/04/2026: A beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting. One of the best stays we have had in the last few years. The staff went above and beyond too. Recommended.
11/04/2026: We stayed 3 nights in early April and had a very nice time. All the staff were friendly and gracious, the rooms were clean and the food was quite good. The grounds were very well kept with nice walking loops. Jesus the concierge helped us out with dinner reservations, checked in with us several times to see how our stay was and was very personable. Jim drove us into town and gave us some tips on travel that were helpful. We did the falcon experience with Patrick which was fun as well horseback riding with Joyce, also very pleasant. 5 stars all around.

Avoca Café at Powerscourt

22/10/2025: This is not about the staff or location both where fantastic , it’s about the price and dietary requirements on offer , no gluten or dairy free , there was only tomato soup and no desert options , the price for what it is , I am shocked 3 teas , 2 quiche with salad and soup over 60 euro
15/10/2025: Powerscourt is beautiful. The cafe has good lunch style food (sandwiches, soups and salads) which is what we were looking for.
