only stop for chips and curry , but can honestly say they were the best chips ive had in years , great taste .. curry was great too . can see why its still open since 1913 … highly recommend :)

Always full of people, small place, needs improvement in managing the crowd. Mostly things are out of stock here.

I just want to say what a gentleman the owner Charlie is. I bring my two girls here every week as a treat. My girls are very young and a bit wild so I park outside, go in and order chips, and take the chips back the car where we eat them. Yesterday, after leaving the shop I realised I had lost my car keys (hole in shorts pocket). Charlie helped me search the path outside and even in the shop bins (in case it was swept in by mistake). Once I found the key and I was able to go, Charlies gave me fresh chips to replace the then cold one. He didn't need to help me at all, but did every thing he could to help a very stressed customer. Thanks again Charlie!

Nice chips but expensive for what we got

The fish is tasteless! And the chips were not crispy. I’m not sure the owner takes these reviews into consideration because the grumpy woman behind the till was there for so long, probably owns the place. Yesterday however there was another lady and the till experience was better. She even came to clean the table because there was someone using it before us so that was nice. But the food needs improvement because it’s not worth the price.

Lovely food here especially after walking around. It can get busy and is a little expensive but absolutely the perfect place to get food in Howth.
