Good, Good, very Good. I recommend to have fresh smoked cod & chips.

The portion was generous, the service pleasant, but the dish was sorely lacking in flavor; you had to add a lot of sauce or sauce on the side. A shame. But if you're hungry, it's a good portion.

I would say greeting is everything when in the food service industry. Unpleasantness will make or break a food industry. Food: The breading on the fish was soggy. The chips were not crispy at all. Everything was just edible not worth a 2nd visit. I’m sure you can find better else where. All the other reviews were extremely accurate regarding staff and the food.

Excellent food with great portion!

We were there on holiday. We ordered fish and chips, which came with tartar sauce. The chips were unseasoned, but there was salt on the table. The fish was very tasty. There was a sign by the restrooms saying "Out of Order," but underneath it said that the restrooms were only for paying customers. So the sign was just meant to deter anyone who didn't intend to buy anything. All in all, we were very satisfied. Yes, the food is very greasy, but since it's breaded and fried fish with fries, that's hardly surprising.

For authentic fish and chips, this is the perfect place to go without any pretension. The chefs are very friendly. It's the best place to eat this specialty.

Fish was pretty good. Disappointed tartare sauce didn’t come with the fish. The breading was the best I’ve had in a while. Crispy but not greasy, very well seasoned.

Great food. Nice chips, fish and sausages. Best chipper in Howth.
