I find all the reviews here flooding in from Chinese customers to be quite suspect. I came here because of a horrible order I got recently and I was browsing a few reviews that are saying the same. I can see the restaurant has been posting fake reviews. This just confirms that Lin Kee is not what it used to be, sorry. Soggy spice bag and extremely bland, dry chow mein. They’ve also taken the duck off the chow mein menu. Whatever is going on in there is not good, please go back to how you used to be!!

A flavourful experience at Lin Kee takeaway.
My recent visit to Lin Kee Takeaway was a rollercoaster of flavors and sensations. The restaurant, known for its Asian cuisine, had some hits and misses, but overall, it was a satisfying experience.
We kicked off our culinary journey with the much-hyped Spicebag, loaded with extra spice, veggies, and chicken. The first impression was that the quality was somewhat ordinary.
However, Lin Kee's secret in-house spice mix transformed this dish into something truly extraordinary. The blend of spices provided a kick that danced on our taste buds, leaving us craving for more. The chicken pieces are tender but not overly fried. The chicken is different than other takeaways that serve spicebag with usual thin chicken strips. It was spicy, crispy, and utterly delightful. But the quantity was definitely low as I opted for extra chicken.
Next up was the Singapore Chow Mein, which seemed like a fusion of Indo-Chinese cuisine.
This dish was a spicy delight, and the extra heat made it even more appealing. The flavors were bold, with a perfect balance of vegetables and protein. It was a true explosion of flavors in every bite, and we couldn't get enough of it.
However, our enthusiasm took a dip when we tried the Singapore Fried Rice. It lacked the punch we had come to expect from Lin Kee. The rice seemed somewhat bland, and while the meat flavors were present, they failed to stand out. The Asian spices were milder than expected, leaving the dish feeling rather lackluster compared to the previous two. Also, I don’t enjoy the taste of boiled meat of chicken and prawns. I like it to be seasoned well.
To our surprise, the staff at Lin Kee offered us a complimentary portion of chicken fried wings with hot and sour sauce or prawn crackers. We opted for the chicken wings, and they were a game-changer. These wings were a burst of flavors with the right amount of heat and tanginess from the hot and sour sauce. The meat was tender, and the sauce coated every inch, making it a finger-licking experience.
There is huge amount of oil being used for all the dishes. Just to healthify things, I’m not a great fan of oil in my food especially fried rice or noodles.
In summary, Lin Kee Takeaway offers a unique and flavorful dining experience. While the Spicebag and Singapore Chow Mein were definite winners with their explosive flavors and extra spiciness, the Singapore Fried Rice fell a bit short. However, the unexpected treat of the chicken wings with hot and sour sauce redeemed the meal and left us with smiles on our faces. The friendly staff and the in-house spice mix are definitely reasons to return to Lin Kee for another delightful meal but don’t forget ask for extra spicy if you are not a great fan of natural meat flavours.
