Food was pretty decent and a pretty reasonable price. My sandwich only had a single slice of bacon in it but was delicious nonetheless. Newt was over the moon with his beef sandwich and we both enjoyed the pastel de nata, newt was very happy to have a vegan option and I enjoyed my raspberry one. I think my iced chai came from a powder but then I can’t expect a Portuguese cafe to be the experts in chai can I?

Good not great. I got a chai, the chorizo and cheese sandwich and a chocolate pastel de nata all for €16. Not bad for the price. However the sandwich size was small and could’ve been filled with more chorizo, and the chai was much too milky. The pastel de nata was good! I liked the chocolate touch. The sides were a wee bit burnt, but that’s okay, it was nothing major. Atmosphere was cute and nice for a quick lil solo coffee date, glad I went, but would probably only go back for a pastry

Best Pastel de Nata I’ve ever had! Better than any I found during my travels to Portugal or Spain. Highly recommend trying one or three.

€9.50 for a small, lightly filled sandwich. I definitely won't be returning, even though it was good.

I happened to stop by this place while passing by, and it was so delicious that I almost fainted. All Korean egg tarts are lies.

I had a great experience at this restaurant. It’s clean, well-organized, and the menu is clear and tourist-friendly. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, making us feel very welcome. The portions are big and the prices are very fair. The codfish fritters are a must-try — absolutely delicious! Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

Crowes

14/03/2026: Best place to go for the Rugby.
13/03/2026: I go to the Crowes pub regularly for the past 10 years , when Leinster rugby plays at RDS or Aviva, and when Ireland rugby plays at Aviva. The bar men are friendly and sound as a bell. I always take pints of Guinness or Smithwicks.

Ebb & Flow

07/12/2025: Pop in daily for coffee and a chat. Great coffee and service. Always willing to go the extra mile to ensure you are looked after.
25/11/2025: Best coffee in Clontarf and also up there for Dublin, small cosy cafe with very friendly and attentive staff, huge coffee knowledge and skilled baristas. Always have two blends available as well as batch brew filter. Been coming here years and never been let down. They have amazing pastries, cookies, and sausage rolls along with some great sandwiches that can be toasted or fresh. They also have a location in the city which has amazing brunch offerings. Coffee is top shelf, they have their own roastery so always new blends on offer and can be bought as retail bags too. I bring my daughters all the time and the staff are so good with them- extra marshmallows with the babycinnos etc. Worth a visit if passing for a coffee on a walk or a sit down and watch the world pass by.
