Maldron Hotel Pearse Street in Dublin

Centrally located. Only the parking situation is a bit complicated. There is an underground garage, but spaces are limited.

We stayed here for 4 nights while visiting Dublin. Less than 10 minutes walk to Book of Kells. The staff were amazing particularly Christina ( Restaurant) and Maria (Front Desk). Actually all the staff is are excellent. Food was great especially the soup. As seniors travelling for first time in a while, they were fantastic sorting out event and train tickets. We will come again just for the friendly professional staff.

Very concerned about local Youth’s behaviour outside the hotel, seemingly milk carton and eggs being thrown - not sure of reason but it was disconcerting.

Pearce Street Dublin - sketchy neighborhood (dirty and thugs / wannabe thugs), 25+ minute walk to everything, room was nothing special, had a courtyard room but needed windows open (NO AC) where seagull was loud most of the time. Had to walk past homeless folks, impaired people, truly unfortunates, and thugs to get anywhere. Oskar the bartender was awesome as was the waitress. Good breakfast. There was confusion when we checked in but eventually it was figured out. Toilet seat lid kept falling off, configuration of shower lead to water on bathroom floor. Bed was comfortable enough but room was hot/muggy so not great for sleeping. Young males across the street yelling obscenities at us as we walked back after dark. Wish the travel agent would of placed us in nicer more convenient area.

Good equipped rooms, even for 4 people (We wanted that) still enjoyable. Outstanding breakfast. Flexible service approach (needed to postpone checkout, no problem)

We stayed for one night, the room was spacious with a huge bed and TV. With complimentary tea, coffee, water and biscuits. The bed was very comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room itself was overall fairly clean but very dusty on the floor and window sills. Unfortunately, even with all the windows open and a requested fan from the front desk - the room was unbelievably hot. So much so that my partner and I barely slept as it was unbearable overnight. Air con or ventilation of some kind is definitely needed. Also, the shower leaked into the bathroom floor due to the way it was set up. Overall, it was comfy and spacious, with good storage. Not sure I would stay again unless there are other rooms that are much cooler.

The hotel has a good location. Unfortunately, our room was very small and stuffy, with two small windows. There were two double beds right next to each other; the beds were almost touching. Everything was very clean: the beds were made every day, and we received extra bath towels. The breakfast was good. Unfortunately, beyond a typical Irish breakfast, there wasn't much variety (for example, a boiled egg, sliced cucumber, tomato, lettuce, and salmon). Dinner, on the other hand, was fantastic – plenty of variety, something for everyone (pizza, pasta, Irish dishes). The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely return.

A good level of service and a good standard of accommodation for the price. Make it better with a bit more attention to detail; our toilet seat was loose, housekeeping should have noticed that when cleaning and then told maintenance. Also, keep customers happy by applying offer prices during the stay, e.g. breakfast, rather than asking people to upgrade before hand. Would I stay again - yes.

Nice, well-maintained room with everything except a refrigerator. The hairdryer is a bit old, as is the shower. Parking is convenient, but it's a shame you have to pay extra. Breakfast was good, but a bit pricey; overall, room for improvement.
