Maneki in Dublin

Excellent food, warm place and welcoming staff.

Had a wonderful lazy Sunday family lunch today, two small intimate dining room, maybe a little to small for the amount of tables in the front roon, ( pushed up against a fireplace which had a fairly decent gust of wind coming through it ) but it is winter I suppose. The room still had a authentic feel to it, The single member of waiting staff was just perfect, she managed the room perfectly and was extremely cordial. The food was outstanding tge ODEN was seasoned perfectly, tge BENTO BOX both seafood and sushi were much loved and the EBI TEMPURA was deliciously crunchy. Extensive drinks list will cater for all tastes. The standout for me was the Sashimi platter, generously portioned pieces of deliciously fresh fish.. With a proliferation of Japanese restaurants in Dublin now, this one stands out.

On a freezing day, we were craving a warm, comforting bowl of soup, and that's when we stumbled upon this cozy little Japanese restaurant. What a gem! The Kimchi Ramen was absolutely amazing, bursting with flavor and warmth. The Poke Bowl was also delightful, though it was a bit disappointing that tuna wasn’t available during our visit. As for the service, it was impeccable. The staff were incredibly attentive and ensured everything ran smoothly. While I noticed some comments about the 12.5% service charge, I personally feel it’s well worth it considering the exceptional service we received. Definitely a spot worth revisiting!

PSA to vegetarians / vegans the curry sauce side has chunks of beef in it and the staff do not bother to inform you even when everything else you order is from the vegan menu 👎🏻 otherwise tasty vegan options and nice cocktails.

Very pleasant ambiance and staff were very kind. Quiet, well decorated and a really peaceful place for dinner. The vegan sushi and sides were nice, but frankly quite overpriced for what you get. 12.5% tip is included in the bill automatically, they do say it’s the customer’s right to refuse to pay it but would you not be mortified to ask them to remove it hahaha

kinda annoying that the 12% tip is automatically added. the food was good, but not THAT good; the drinks were really delicious tho. the sushi was kinda pricey for what it offered. the staff was really nice and the atmosphere 10/10.

It was good but I think you pay the price for the « chic » aspect of the restaurant. It is very pricey, overly pricey I would say since you can find food as fresh and good as here in small authentic japanese restaurants.

Mankei acomodó a un gran grupo de 18 de nosotros y superaron completamente nuestras expectativas. Elegimos la opción de cena y karaoke y a todos les encantó tanto la comida como el ambiente del restaurante. Nuestro servidor, Jai, era increíble y estaba atento en todo momento. Esperamos volver a visitarlo.
