Great experience. Matty was great and welcoming. He recommended a great local restaurant to eat dinner. Nice kitchen, beautiful new tiled bathroom with shower. The only minor issue was the bed footboard stuck out (we keep running into the corners).

A decent size and well-equipped room, with a small table and chairs and a kitchenette, coffee maker, and other appliances. The furnishings are basic and a bit dated, but the room was clean. Conveniently located on the road between the small town and the main road to Kilkenny, a quiet, if somewhat isolated, area. The host was very welcoming and kind, and directed us to a good restaurant for dinner. It's a shame we didn't try the adjacent pub.

Stayed here the weekend for our golf trip myself and my wife the accommodation was fantastic nice and cosy and the little pub was great and fantastic atmosphere even a little sing song aswell. I'd highly recommend it

Jarrow Cafe

02/04/2026: The team at Jarrow is fantastic. Great service, a lovely atmosphere, and the food and coffee is excellent. I will definitely be back and recommending it.
01/04/2026: Stopped in at Jarrow Café during a walk around Castlecomer Discovery Park and was really impressed. It’s a great setup — relaxed, plenty of space, and ideal if you’re taking a break from the trails. Had a coffee and a quick bite and everything was fresh and well done. What stood out most was how easy and welcoming it felt, especially with families coming and going. Nice mix of options too — something for everyone without overcomplicating it. Will definitely be calling back the next time we’re in the park.
