Max's Cafe in Milford

13/08/2024: We came here because of the good reviews, but it was a bit of a disappointment. It was not extremely bad, but certainly not good either. Staff were friendly. Both our meals were a good sized portion, but a bit flat in taste and lacking seasoning. The 'catch of the day' fish honestly did not seem like fresh and self-breaded fish but more like frozen prefab. The two pieces were very uniform and the frying fat could use some refreshing too. The sea chowder served in a bread bowl was well-filled and very creamy, looked tasty and promising. Extra pepper and salt were needed here too, still the taste did not really deliver.
