Probably one of the most entertaining McDonald’s locations in Dublin 😄 Right in the middle of Temple Bar, so there is always something going on, especially late in the evening. Despite the busy area, the restaurant was surprisingly well organized and the staff handled the crowds really well. Food came quickly and everything was clean considering how many people pass through here every day. Upstairs seating is also a good option if it gets too crowded downstairs.

McDonald's is always an affordable restaurant with good prices, good food, and a good atmosphere. What makes this one different is that orders are served very quickly, regardless of how many people are there. That's why I went more than twice.

Watch out when ordering after drinks in the surrounding pubs. They may be taking advantage. I ordered the chicken strips for takeaway and paid for three dips but later found out at home that they only gave me two.

We were in after a drinking sesh and was treated to a lovely confrontation between a very charming English fella and the McDonalds security. The English gentleman had riled himself up into a fury because he wasn't allowed to vape inside this fine establishment, which he tried to make everyone elses problem. Despite being kindly asked to "get out, get out" he refused to leave. (Just a quick note from thr narrator (me), this English fella was a proper behemoth, like we're talking of biblical proportions - aul David would have had trouble taking him down. So when he refused to leave, there wasn't much the poor security guard could do, if he didn't want to get stepped on). Anyway, we continued to wait for our food, the McDonalds was busy with other drunken patrons, equally enthusiastic everytime one of the staff shouted a number out. Things had seemingly simmered down. However, drawn to confrontation, like Robin Williams drawn to the thumping of the Jumanji board, the English Behemoth, after he got his food and was on his way out, stirred up another bout of linguistic bombardment against the security guard. I quote him directly, whether he has written this sonnet himself or whether he is merely standing on the shoulders, of probably, a smaller giant than himself, and citing one of the most awe-inspiring string of words a man has ever uttered. To the flabbergasted and disarmed security guard, he boasted, "silly man, silly man, l*ck my b*lls, silly man, l*ck my b*lls" with a dialect that is only spoken in the deep recesses of the magical land called England. Everyone, and I mean everyone, put down their nuggets, their big macs, their cheeky pint of guinness in a plastic cup and watched in reverence as a man linguistically blugeoned another man to d*ath. In the corner, a scribe quickly chiseled these words into a slab of marble before they were lost to time, "silly man, l*ck my b*lls". The English poet left hastily, likely just in case the security guard accepted the proposition (anything to diffuse the situation, I would guess), taking his 6 chicken nuggets and quarter pounder with cheese with him. The McDonalds remained silent for precisely 4 seconds after, everybody seized with the same wonder and fear. The night continued, no one quite the same, profoundly changed from this moment onwards, all cosmically connected, yet separated, by what we had witnessed. I feel like it was my duty to document these events, like Ni*odemus, detailing the descent of Je*us into the underworld to free the h*ll-bound souls and to fulfil the prophecy. Anywho, the McDonalds nuggets were average - as expected. What really shone through was the time limited burger I got. Smokey yet sweet. And as always, a smarties mcflurry to tie it all together and give that sugary kick at the end of a glorious meal. *Google reviews wouldnt let me post this without censoring some words - I assume the words uttered in this tale are too powerful even for a mega tech corporation like Google.
