Lovely surroundings for afternoon tea! Staff pleasant. Beautiful art on view. Presentation really nice but lacked flavour.

My friends and I went to the Art Tea at the Merrion Hotel on a Friday afternoon and were so delighted with the experience! The atmosphere is both warm and elegant, with a pianist playing quietly in the background. The afternoon tea offered many wonderful teas to sample along with 2 trays, 3 tiers high, of sandwiches and scones. But the Merrion Hotel's Art Tea is unique and quite special as they fuse these offerings with the hotel's impressive art collection, featuring delectable petit fours designed to model particular pieces of art found elsewhere in the hotel common areas. Our servers were quite attentive and knowledgeable. Daniel, in particular, shared his knowledge of the artwork as well as the history of the hotel. The level of service was above and beyond and reflects the hotel's attention to hospitality. A must-do for any one seeking a special afternoon with friends, family or clients!

The Art of Coffee

17/04/2025: Peaceful few minutes, excellent espresso warm fresh croissant and great cheerful service, what more could you want!
11/03/2025: Nice café! I spent €7.50 on a brownie and a cappuccino—the cappuccino was exquisite, really well made. The brownie was decent, nothing extraordinary, but enjoyable. I noticed other customers’ dishes, and the portions seemed fair for the price. They also offer soups of the day for €6-7, which I’d love to try next time, as well as a variety of sandwiches. There’s a second floor with more seating, making it a comfortable spot to relax. Overall, a good place to grab a bite!
