Metro Hotel in Dublin

Used Park and Fly option. Great service

Good location close to the airport. Biggish rooms, friendly staff. Nice bar+restaurant. Room service not very thorough, beds rather short, windows not insulated, so quite noisy and drafty.

Reasonable price, modern hotel near airport. Has bar and restaurant at hotel. Conveniently located (<7 min walk to bus stop) to 2 direct buses to O’Connell street and Trinity College (30 minute ride + wait time). Buses have wifi. The front desk staff is terrible. Their verbal directions were terrible (no, Circle K is not on any corner that you can see from the hotel; it is one block away. And no, that gate is not always open and the sensor is broken so sometimes it’s open and sometimes it’s not. And no, the bus stop is not right there - you have to walk 3 min further). Another example of poor customer service: there is shuttle schedules posted and yet, it also tells you to call. We emailed twice asking for clarification - we got a canned cut and paste response. Upon check out, we confirmed the shuttle schedule. They asked us which shuttle we were planning to use (strange question since they are in a 30 min schedule); we had not decided between 2 times. When we tried to go with the others, we were then informed that they didn’t have a shuttle today/Easter, and they would get a taxi for us. Upfront communication is important.

This hotel was renovated in the last decade and family rooms are the best for a family of 4. Kids room has bunk beds and perfect set up. The Restaurent employees surprised my 5yo son with an ice cream cake on his birthday at the dinner. We had just landed on his birthday and all of us were tired. We went downstairs for dinner and my son happened to tell the Restaurant manager it’s his birthday. The Restaurant manager was covering for couple weeks as their permanent manager was on leave. Julian was exceptionally good with his work. The last day we went thank Julian but we got to know that his time at the Metro was over the previous night. We want to thank Julian, Amanda, Jake and Simona for their hospitality. Our trip was affected by kids feeling sick due to the weather. But the hotel staff made us feeling like home.

Visited to use the parking when we went away for a few days, bus drivers were very helpful, they're a good price, can recommend.

Nice hotel Spacious rooms and comfortable bedding But still decent for the location quite far from the center of Dublin, fortunately breakfast included

Tidy, clean hotel. Handy for airport, IKEA and Beaumont Hospital
