Tasty and reasonably priced, the meats were a little overcooked and the eggs a little undercooked to my tastes but I think that's just personal preference

The Full Irish Breakfast was incredibly fresh and very generous in portion size. The scrambled eggs were extremely fresh, soft, and full of flavor. The sausages were clearly pure meat — very springy and juicy, with an excellent texture, definitely not the flour-filled kind you sometimes get elsewhere. Everything tasted spot on. What really impressed us is that this is the best-priced Full Irish Breakfast in the area, great value for such high quality. On top of that, the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Overall, a fantastic dining experience — we truly enjoyed it and will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommended! â˜•đŸłđŸ„“

Absolutely loved this place! The breakfast here is incredibly fresh, with very generous portions. For a city centre cafĂ©, the prices are surprisingly reasonable and definitely some of the best value you’ll find around. The food is beautifully presented and you can really taste the quality of the ingredients đŸ„đŸ„‘ The coffee is outstanding — smooth, rich, aromatic, and very easy to drink. Perfect balance, no bitterness, just silky and satisfying. Highly recommend this spot for breakfast or brunch if you’re in the city. I’ll definitely be coming back!

The hours here on Google Maps as well as their own website are incorrect. They definitely do not open at 0730. However, they were kind enough to let us in out of the rain despite our evidently early arrival. The food was delicious and came in generous portions. My children especially loved their hot chocolate

10/01/2026: Went in for lunch on a busy day, but the service and food were still excellent.
07/01/2026: The welcome was very warm and pleasant, as was the service. The dishes were refined, fresh, of good quality, and beautifully presented. We found the value for money to be very good.

The Lord Edward

14/12/2025: Old, cosy traditional pub, with genuinely nice staff (shout out to young dark haired bartender who had the patience of a saint). Great buzzy atmosphere. Will call again!
05/12/2025: The Lord Edward made it onto my “Dublin Pub Crawl” list thanks to a bartender at the Guinness Gravity Bar who swore it had a great pint of Guinness and insisted we check out the upstairs. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the upstairs was closed. Still no idea what is up there or why it was recommended. This is a small pub with a unique bar layout and plenty of age behind it. And by “age,” I mean it has not seen a remodel in a very, very long time. The men’s room is basically just a wall with a drain on the floor (which I found highly amusing), and according to the bartenders, the women’s bathroom used to be a broom closet that was converted once women were allowed into pubs. That alone tells you everything you need to know about how much this place has changed over the years. Very authentic and cool in its own way. We stopped in late on a Thursday night. The crowd was wrapping up, so we managed two rounds before last call. The bartenders signal last call the old school way, by flicking the lights on and off. Gave me a good laugh. As for the pint
it was okay. One bartender knew what he was doing and poured a proper Guinness. The other poured it the way Americans do when they have no idea what they are doing, and he did it consistently. I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to The Lord Edward and got plenty of laughs out of the whole experience. The company was great and the pub absolutely has character. Now, if we can only get that one bartender on board with pouring Guinness correctly
We still want to know what is upstairs.
