Nice place to have lunch or breakfast very friendly staff we had a great nigh there when our choir reliest our album launch they looked after everything so well
When we originally walked in to Monks Kitchen, a staff member at the till told us to take a seat & pointed to two tables outside that we could choose from. We went over to sit where he had directed us, but another staff member shooed us away & told us that both tables were reserved. We ended up finding a table eventually, however after we left nobody was still sat at those tables.
I had made my mind up and wanted to order pancakes, until our server came out and told us that there was no pancakes available, which was strange for 1pm on a Saturday. I hesitantly ordered the waffle.
The food didn’t take long to arrive. However, when I tried to slice into the waffle it was rock solid; definitely not made fresh. I have never in my life sent food back as I am not the type of person, however the waffle was literally inedible. I felt sorry for the server that I had to complain to, she did offer us complimentary tea or coffee on the house and took the waffles off the bill.
Overall I don’t think I will be coming back, unfortunately.
Beautiful bright airy place friendly & efficient staff and the food is just amazing.
Every plate of food that came from the kitchen looked so appealing I wanted everything on the menu.
