First time being here and loved it. Food was absolutely amazing. Definitely pay for the quality of the food. Will definitely be back.

We were here for an event, great facility and good accessibility. Food on the night wasn’t very good.

Tasty lunch, pleasant & attentive staff, prompt service

When we originally walked in to Monks Kitchen, a staff member at the till told us to take a seat & pointed to two tables outside that we could choose from. We went over to sit where he had directed us, but another staff member shooed us away & told us that both tables were reserved. We ended up finding a table eventually, however after we left nobody was still sat at those tables. I had made my mind up and wanted to order pancakes, until our server came out and told us that there was no pancakes available, which was strange for 1pm on a Saturday. I hesitantly ordered the waffle. The food didn’t take long to arrive. However, when I tried to slice into the waffle it was rock solid; definitely not made fresh. I have never in my life sent food back as I am not the type of person, however the waffle was literally inedible. I felt sorry for the server that I had to complain to, she did offer us complimentary tea or coffee on the house and took the waffles off the bill. Overall I don’t think I will be coming back, unfortunately.

Beautiful bright airy place friendly & efficient staff and the food is just amazing. Every plate of food that came from the kitchen looked so appealing I wanted everything on the menu. Freshest fluffiest pancakes with maple syrup & crispy bacon WOW 👌
