5 stars for food, but the restaurant was filthy. The walls were dirty, the chairs were manky and the floors hadn't had a good hot mop in ages. Such a pity as the food was great. Bad echo in the place, conversations are so loud...

Good place as a stopover on the way from Cork to Galway. Friendly staff and tasty food. Meals are on the large side for lunch, but that is typically Irish.

The Castle Sports Bar

30/08/2026: Cracking bar with great Guinness and food. Fantastic sports memorabilia on the walls. Loads of tvs to watch sports. We both had the Smash burgers which were unreal. My only complaint was I asked to substitute fries for cajun fries and was told no problem. Then to be charged an extra 1.50 for them was disappointing. They were the same price on the menu and I could at least have been told they were extra.
24/08/2026: First time here and what I great spot. The staff are so friendly, the food is excellent. Would return for sure 👌
