Shane is an absolute howl. The service is brilliant the craic is mighty and it’s some of the best Guinness in Dublin. The pasta was some of the best we’ve had.

This is a must try when in Dublin. We happened to be staying right by this bar and we are so happy we went! It's not a large place but the atmosphere is great. Daniel was our server and we couldn't have asked for better! His food recommendations were top notch and his added ireland advice we were thankful to get. Have the pizza..... You won't be disappointed!

Shane is an exemplary host… A great bar, with excellent service… One of the best pints in Dublin and the pizza was sublime despite them being in the “pint business and not the pizza business” Visited with the wife, daughter and extended family in the afternoon… Close to the Book of Kells attraction and we will definitely be back the next time we are in Dublin.

I’ve heard of the Dublin pub experience: friendly patrons ready to buy you a pint, warm bartenders always down for a good conversation and will tease you relentlessly - and after my first trip to Dublin and hopping around to at least 2 dozen pubs, I can fully confirm that you will never be lonely in a Dublin pub.
These are sacred spaces for friendship, laughter, relationship, and deep conversation - and none of that is more true for Moss Lane.
My first night there I hopped into Moss Lane looking for food. It was less crowded since its slightly off the beaten path. I didn’t eat there since I they don’t serve classic pub fare (I did eat there later in the week, the pizza is exceptional!) But immediately the owner Shane and bartender Daniel poured me a Guinness and struck up a conversation, of course lighting me up for sticking out like a sore thumb with my painfully obvious west-coast USA style. But Shane treated me with the highest level of hospitality i’ve ever experienced in an establishment.
I sat for 2 or 3 hours chatting with the bartender Daniel, a student my age at Trinity College. A lifelong Dubliner, he gave me inside tips on where to go that week, where the best food was, the best Irish beers that didn’t start with a G, etc… but also about all kinds of things. I made it a habit to swing by almost every night to hang out, drink far too much beer, meet some of his old friends, and even be included in on a few lock-ins. Little did I know this place would start a friendship which would last far beyond my week-long business trip.
Thankful to stumble in here, it made my time in Dublin special.

While over the pond we tried many different food items. While the Fish n Chips we had remained supreme at some locations this spot had one of the best "sandwiches" we've ever had. Their Caprese Sandwich was absolutely phenomenal and a 10/10 must try! The owner Shane was kind enough to give us a list of place to see and do and While most were on our list the Kilmainham Jail and a playoff Rugby game were not but ended up being 2 of our favorite things to do. Moss Lane was down the street from our hotel so we popped in there a few times and the rest of his staff was just as friendly and welcoming. Thank you for all the recommendations, Ireland did not disappoint .
