MossCo Bar & Restaurant in Dublin

Place was pretty enough. It’s inside a hotel. I chose it cuz it was close to my hotel and I was tired from travelling. Waitress was lovely. I chose a Caesar salad that tasted nothing like any Caesar I’ve had before and onion rings that dropped grease when I squeezed them, and were inedible once they had cooled. ll in all the most disappointing meal I had in my five days in Ireland.

We ordered fish and chips. They looked fabulous but the chips were inedible. I prefer chips to still have some of their original potato recognisable in them. These were overcooked and really dry. The batter on the fish was very thick. Not light. First time in Ireland so may be a local preference but was not enjoyable to we Aussies who are probably spoiled for choice at home. The best thing about the meal was the impeccable service and the hot chocolate.

You’re looking at the reviews and wondering why they aren’t consistent? Tonight would be an example. The group of five in front of us had their various drinks brought out, then their food in the time you would expect. They’d probably give five stars and rightfully so. However, our group of two waited way too long for each step, including 40 minutes between our two starters and our entree and salad. Yeah, we split a pasta entree and the salad, so it wasn’t overly complicated or overwhelming for them. In the end, roll the dice going here. You might get five star service or you might get something a lot less.

Fabulous bar located inside the Travelodge City Centre Dublin hotel. Super nice bartenders. Huge selection of drinks, wine list is amazing. Loved the atmosphere. One of the bartenders was kind enough to charge my phone for me behind the bar. Great for groups. They were very accommodating here for us.

Good place just not any entertainment.

We stayed at Travelogue for 7 nights. We had breakfast each morning and ate dinner a couple of late nights. The breakfast buffet is pretty good. Easy to check in and get a table. The food presentation was bery nice and clean for a buffet style. The staff constantly made sure everything was in order. The selection was pretty good for us Americans. The staff was first rate…very friendly and very busy keeping things in order. We ate dinner a couple of nights when we decided to stay in and not venture out. The restaurant closes at 9:45, so we had to make sure we ordered before they closed. The menu was just right in terms of selection and very reasonable compared to the many nearby restaurants. This restaurant is perfect for a hotel for both breakfast and late night dinners.

The breakfast was great. The hotel is super neat. We felt very comfortable. We can recommend the hotel and restaurant.
