Unfortunately, this accidentally turned into €16 because the waiter probably understood “46” instead of “36”. Our English is actually very good, so this was a little surprising. Who gives €46 when the meal costs €30? I had already given a tip beforehand. He then paid us back the €10 in cash because the €46 had already been deducted from the card.
