I was with a group who had the great pleasure to be given a tour of the yards, horses facilities and history by Patrick Mullins, a pure gent who took great pride in showing us around and answering all our questions, many thanks to Niamh and Patrick for a great day.

The Railway House

13/08/2026: First night in Ireland and this pub made for a great evening. The food was really great: the burgers, the vol-au-vents, the kids' meals were classic but very good. Excellent value for money and friendly staff. I recommend it.
03/08/2026: We stopped at The Railway House for lunch. It wasn't too busy as we'd missed the lunch rush, so it was a bit quiet. We were served by a friendly waitress & they also had a gluten free option. We ordered the Caesar Salad & the GF chicken salad sandwich, which came with chips, & coleslaw. The food was fresh, hot & delicious. The bill was approx €20 for both. I recommend The Railway House. Good service, good value & delicious food.
