Great pub with a lively Irish atmosphere and yummy food. The antique interior was so interesting to explore, too.

Sunday at lunch time. Not many people. The pub itself had a very nice vibe. Very typical, enjoyed the decor. All the space in fact. We understood that Saturday's nights there is music, a lot of fun, drinks and so on, but Sunday lunch time everything was impeccable, clean and organised. Enjoyed the Fish and Ships with a Guinness of course, the Veal stew was great and the burger was also great. Didn't enjoy much the service, asked for an Hops House, took a lot of time almost until we had finished lunch and only after claiming we were served with a beer, good but not what we ordered. In fact we asked for assistance for some times but it was always taking some time for an answer. Nevertheless, this is not a reason for a negative overall impression. I would return there if ever going back to Dublin.

What a great time we had, the bar is lovely and the staff… i couldn’t say more about them, they are perfect, here for you even though there is a rush. Thanks to Ciaran for being such a helpful gentleman… Thansk the other staff for helping us and enjoy our night with our friend. Would recommend this 100% !!

Everything was as expected. Good atmosphere and great venue.

Well, "somehow fine", I would say. Count in that a longer time is required for a visit- we wait few minutes that someone noticed us and led us to the table (let's say pub was on half capacity occupied), order was fine, even the beer, even food, however than we needed to wait another ~20 minutes for pay. That could be understandable if personnel would be obviously busy, but that was not a case, probably Also they DON'T do the split bill from whatever reason. As other reviews says, I would take it as a tourist restaurant, probably more depending for the groups coming from a tourists buses that literally stops upfront therestaurant. Prices were acceptable and comparable to the pubs around. Even though, as at the end all was fine, I would probably try to visit another pub next time.
