New Empire in Dublin

Update: Still remains very expensive for a Chinese Takeaway, but the food is consistently excellent so we're back up to four stars overall (five for the food - shout out for the fantastic Singapore Chow Mein). I now go here for an occasional treat. Update: Another €2 or so since added onto cost of every main course (Autumn 2022). Simplest chicken curry with boiled rice to takeaway now over €13. Food remains very good, but costs way too much to visit regularly_ Had previously given New Empire four stars as the food is very good. But about a month ago (Spring 2022) they slapped at least €2 onto every main course, only weeks after issuing a new menu which itself had involved (smaller) increases from the previous one. I know inflation is up but a simple chicken curry now at more than €11? So since then I've mostly been taking my business elsewhere to far more reasonable Chinese takeaways in the area. A pity, but that kind of increase is taking the mickey.
