New Royal Jade in Carrickmacross

02/03/2025: I like going here as there are some nice twists on the standard fare. For example eggs benedict is normally served with ham but here it is a slice of bacon which I have grown to prefer than ham. Service is fast and everything is spotless. Only downside I could say is it is very annoying someone asking if everything is OK when you have just shoved a mouthfuls of food in. All in all one of the best places to grab a bite in Carrick. It is also dog friendly which is a big plus.

08/02/2025: Hidden away down a side street is this exquisite café that has an interesting menu with lovely flavoursome dishes and pleasant friendly staff. I'd the soup and hambo and Eliza went for the sourdough chicken sandwich. Both were delicious and the carrot and cumin soup with seeds on top was exceptional. They also do a nice line in wine which is for takeaway only. Highly recommended.
