My Mum had been gifted a voucher for here so we booked lunch for the first time. We ordered the set 3 course limited lunch menu as there were no other options excluding snacks of focaccia or oysters. We chose a bottle of white wine from Puglia priced at €40 to share (2nd cheapest on the menu: overall limited value to be found on the wine menu). There is a discretionary 12.5% service charge added to the bill. We were charged €4 for two bottles of still water. We didn't ask for the second bottle and weren't informed there was a charge for the still water then we were charged a further service charge on top of that. The restaurant wasn't busy and has an uppity feel but did have some tables occupied at 2pm on a Friday afternoon. The set lunch menu was €32 per person which on paper looks good value. To start there was a waldorf salad (no other choice). It was tasty especially with the blue cheese and dressing. However, it was awkward to eat as the chicory (I think) was sword shaped. For mains, I chose the cavatelli in brodo with hedgehog mushrooms. It was tasty but I have eaten far better pasta dishes. I also got to try what my Mum ordered: pork collar with celeriac remoulade. Again flavourful but an incomplete dish if you don't order a side. For dessert, we were given the rhubarb fool (no other choice). Very tasty, however I was looking at this menu as a Speech and Language Therapist trained in managing swallowing difficulties and the limited menu had a high proportion of high risk foods (IDDSI) in terms of how they were presented eg the sword shaped chicory, the stringy apple, walnuts and the thick fibrous rhubarb stalks. I had a knife to cut up and modify the salad but didn't have a knife to cut the rhubarb stalks in the dessert and the spoon didn't cut it adequately. Perhaps something for the chef to consider so that food can be safer and managed more elegantly. There are other options in Dublin which I will explore the next time in terms of food choices and value.

Great experience - the food was delicious, all staff extremely friendly, and awesome vibes and decor. 100% recommended for a cosy gastro night in Dublin! They serve really nice natural wines, too.

Food was good, service was not great. Empty water bottle on the table for a while. At the end the server told us about a service charge which was fine but then I paid in cash and never gave me the change. All in all the night was mediocre

While the food here is good and beautifully presented, the high prices set an expectation for something more exceptional. You might find similar quality dishes elsewhere for less. The beef tartare and duck breast, while decent and well cooked, are common starter and main course choices that didn't stand out.
The starter portions were quite small, so ordering several might be necessary to feel satisfied. The must try dish for me(if you end up going anyway) is the beef tongue salad. I'm writing this review several weeks after my visit. The flavor is still memorable—the cheese paired perfectly with the beef tongue.
For dessert, I ordered rum baba and raisin ice cream. The baba was overly saturated with rum, resulting in a very soft and soggy texture. Additionally, baba taste bitter than I expected. Too much alcoholic taste.
FYI, a service charge will be added to the bill.

If you don’t give this place 5 stars you need your head examined. Nicest oysters I’ve had, the beef tartar was incredible and the nicest spicy Margaritas. Interior and service exceptional 👌can’t wait to go back.

80e for the special which was a full John Dory. It came with a couple of sides. That was great value, we were absolutely stuffed, it fed two of us completely. Had no room for dessert. The fish had so much meat, the potatoes and chard were both delicious. We had a glass of wine each too, they were decent. The interior was great, they did an excellent job at decorating the space, the windows were class. We had sat between two other couples dining along the bench but it didn't feel too crowded, still intimate. I'd love to revisit with a group. One small thing is that the food took a surprisingly long time to come out, perhaps 45 minutes.

I found the food very good but honestly a bit on the expensive side.
We chose the group menu which provided better value for money. You get 3 appetizers to share, 2 sides to share, 1 starter & 1 main à la carte and finally 1 dessert.
The food is good and so is the wine. Be careful because the glasses are not the usual size that you would normally find in Dublin.
Personnel was nice but they got quite confused, repeatedly, when we got in.
I didn't like instead how we got welcomed when we entered the restaurant, even if we had a reservation. I found the first reaction a bit rude.

What a find! We’re staying local and walked past the other evening, so glad we were able to book. Really relaxed vibe an excellent service. Max was super friendly and suggested some great wines. Drinks and food were top class (with good gluten free options) - highlights from the menu served today were the mini steak tartare, smoked eel, ox tongue and turbot. If you get chance, definitely visit!!
